4.1 Front Panel

The front panel features the 2.8-inch TFT color display, CD loading slot, and various control buttons and rotary knobs for volume and navigation.

4.2 Top Panel Controls

The top panel includes the Power button, Mode selection, Menu access, Favorite presets, Alarm/Back functions, and navigation buttons with a central OK/Scan button. Volume and navigation are also controlled via rotary knobs.

4.3 Rear Panel Connections

The rear panel provides connections for the telescopic antenna, AUX In (3.5mm jack), USB port, and DC In for the power adapter. An integrated Downfire subwoofer port is also visible.

5. Setup

5.1 Power Connection

  1. Connect the supplied power adapter to the DC In port on the rear of the unit.
  2. Plug the power adapter into a suitable wall outlet.

5.2 Antenna Connection

Extend the telescopic antenna located on the rear of the unit for optimal DAB+ and FM radio reception.

5.3 Initial Setup Wizard

Upon first power-on, the unit will guide you through an initial setup wizard. Follow the on-screen instructions to set language, time, and network settings.

5.4 Network Connection (Wi-Fi)

  1. During the initial setup or via the System Settings menu, select "Network Wizard."
  2. The unit will scan for available Wi-Fi networks. Select your network from the list.
  3. Enter your Wi-Fi password using the navigation controls and the OK button.
  4. Once connected, the Wi-Fi icon will appear on the display.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Basic Controls

  • Power: Press the Power button on the top panel or remote to turn the unit on/off.
  • Volume: Rotate the left knob on the top panel or use the VOL +/- buttons on the remote.
  • Mode: Press the MODE button to switch between Internet Radio, DAB+, FM, CD, USB, Bluetooth, and AUX modes.
  • Navigation: Use the right rotary knob or the navigation buttons (up/down/left/right) on the top panel/remote to browse menus and lists. Press OK/SCAN to confirm selections.

6.2 Radio Modes (Internet Radio, DAB+, FM)

  1. Press the MODE button until the desired radio mode (Internet Radio, DAB+, or FM) is selected.
  2. For Internet Radio, browse by location, genre, or search for specific stations.
  3. For DAB+ and FM, the unit will automatically scan for available stations. Use the navigation controls to select a station.
  4. To save a station as a preset, press and hold the FAVORITE button, then select a preset number.

6.3 CD Playback

  1. Press the MODE button to select CD mode.
  2. Insert a CD into the slot on the front panel. The unit will automatically begin playback.
  3. Use the Play/Pause, Skip, and Stop buttons on the top panel or remote to control playback.

6.4 USB Playback

  1. Insert a USB flash drive containing MP3 files into the USB port on the rear panel.
  2. Press the MODE button to select USB mode.
  3. Browse your music files using the navigation controls and press OK to start playback.

6.5 Bluetooth Streaming

  1. Press the MODE button to select Bluetooth mode. The unit will enter pairing mode.
  2. On your Bluetooth-enabled device (e.g., smartphone), search for available devices and select "KENWOOD CR-ST700SCD-S".
  3. Once paired, you can stream audio from your device to the Smart Radio.

6.6 Auxiliary Input

  1. Connect an external audio source (e.g., MP3 player) to the AUX In port on the rear panel using the supplied audio cable.
  2. Press the MODE button to select AUX mode.
  3. Audio from the connected device will now play through the Smart Radio.

6.7 Clock and Alarm Functions

Access the Clock and Alarm settings via the System Settings menu. You can set multiple alarms with different sources (e.g., buzzer, radio station) and adjust sleep timer settings.

6.8 Using the UNDOK App

The KENWOOD CR-ST700SCD-S can be controlled via the UNDOK smartphone application. Download the UNDOK app from your device's app store. Ensure your smartphone and the Smart Radio are connected to the same Wi-Fi network for app control.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the unit with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • CD Player: Use a CD cleaning disc periodically to maintain optimal performance.
