Setup and Installation

1. Insert the TF Card

Before mounting, insert the provided 32GB TF card into the TF card slot on the main dash cam unit. Ensure it is inserted correctly until it clicks into place.

2. Mount the Main Dash Cam Unit

Attach the mounting bracket to the dash cam. Securely mount the dash cam to your vehicle's windshield using the suction cup mount. Position it to ensure a clear view of the road ahead without obstructing your driving visibility. The bracket allows for 360-degree adjustment.

4. Install the Rear Camera

Mount the AHD backup camera at the rear of your vehicle, typically above the license plate. Connect the rear camera's video/power cable to the main dash cam unit. For parking assistance functionality, connect the red wire of the backup camera cable to your vehicle's reverse light power supply. This will automatically display parking guidelines when the vehicle is put into reverse gear.

Operating Instructions

Power On/Off

The dash cam will automatically power on and begin recording when your vehicle starts and power is supplied. It will power off automatically when the vehicle is turned off.

Touch Screen Operation

The 4-inch IPS touch screen allows for easy navigation through menus and settings. Tap icons to select options, swipe to scroll, and use the physical buttons for quick access to common functions like Menu, Up, Down, and Confirm.

Recording Modes

  • Normal Recording: Continuous recording while driving.
  • Loop Recording: When the TF card is full, the oldest unlocked video files are automatically overwritten by new recordings. Ensure this feature is enabled in settings.
  • Emergency Recording (G-Sensor): In the event of a sudden impact or collision, the built-in G-sensor automatically detects the event and locks the current video file, preventing it from being overwritten by loop recording.
  • Parking Monitoring: When the vehicle is parked and the dash cam is connected to a constant power source (or detects vibration), it will automatically record short video clips if an impact is detected.
  • Motion Detection: If enabled, the dash cam will start recording when it detects movement in its field of view while parked.

Night Vision and WDR

The dash cam is equipped with advanced Analogy High Definition (AHD) technology and Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) technology. These features work together to automatically balance light and dark areas in the video, ensuring clear and detailed recordings even in low-light conditions or challenging lighting environments.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning the Lens: Use a soft, lint-free cloth to gently clean the camera lenses. Avoid abrasive materials or harsh chemicals that could scratch the lens.
  • Cleaning the Screen: Wipe the touch screen with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn smudges, use a screen cleaner specifically designed for electronic displays.
  • TF Card Maintenance: Regularly format the TF card (at least once a month) within the dash cam's settings to ensure optimal performance and prevent data corruption. Back up any important videos before formatting.
  • Temperature: Avoid exposing the dash cam to extreme temperatures for extended periods, as this can affect battery life and overall performance.

Troubleshooting

Dash Cam Not Powering On

  • Check if the cigarette lighter plug is securely inserted into both the dash cam and the vehicle's power outlet.
  • Ensure the vehicle's power outlet is functioning (test with another device).
  • Verify the vehicle's ignition is on.

Recording Stops or Freezes

  • Format the TF card regularly. A corrupted or full TF card can cause recording issues.
  • Ensure you are using a high-speed (Class 10 or U1/U3) TF card.
  • Check if loop recording is enabled.

Rear Camera Not Displaying

  • Verify that the rear camera cable is securely connected to the main dash cam unit.
  • Check for any damage to the rear camera cable.

Parking Guidelines Not Appearing

  • Ensure the red wire of the backup camera cable is correctly connected to your vehicle's reverse light power supply.
  • Confirm the vehicle is in reverse gear.

Screen Blackout/Restarting

  • Ensure the Type-C power cable is securely connected and not loose.
  • Avoid using non-standard power cables or adapters.
  • High temperatures can sometimes cause issues; ensure proper ventilation.
