The TOLLCY TR10 RC Racing Boats are designed for recreational use in pools, lakes, and rivers. They feature a 2.4 GHz control system allowing multiple boats to operate simultaneously without interference. Each boat is capable of speeds up to 15 KM/H and is constructed from high impact-resistant ABS material with a full-sealed, waterproof design.

3. Setup Instructions

3.1. Battery Charging

  1. Connect the rechargeable Lithium Polymer battery to the provided USB charging cable.
  2. Plug the USB charging cable into a standard USB power adapter (not included) or a computer USB port.
  3. The charging indicator light on the USB cable will illuminate during charging and turn off or change color when fully charged.
  4. Charging typically takes approximately 90 minutes for a full charge. A fully charged battery provides up to 28 minutes of play time.

Caution: Always supervise battery charging. Do not leave charging batteries unattended. Disconnect the charger once charging is complete.

3.2. Battery Installation (Boat)

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the top of the RC boat.
  2. Carefully open the waterproof cover and then the battery compartment lid.
  3. Connect the fully charged battery to the boat's power connector.
  4. Place the battery inside the compartment and ensure all wires are tucked in to avoid pinching.
  5. Securely close the battery compartment lid and then the waterproof outer cover to prevent water ingress. Ensure a tight seal.

3.3. Remote Control Battery Installation

  1. Open the battery cover on the back of the remote control.
  2. Insert 2 x AA batteries (not included) into the compartment, observing the correct polarity (+/-).
  3. Close the battery cover securely.

3.4. Pairing the Boat and Remote Control

The boats operate on a 2.4 GHz frequency, allowing multiple boats to be used simultaneously. To pair:

  1. Ensure the boat's battery is installed and the waterproof cover is sealed.
  2. Place the boat in water. The boat's propeller will only activate when submerged to prevent accidental operation and ensure safety.
  3. Turn on the remote control. The indicator light on the remote will flash.
  4. The remote control will automatically pair with the nearest boat in the water. Once paired, the indicator light on the remote will become solid.
  5. If using multiple boats, pair them one by one to ensure each remote controls its intended boat.

4. Operating the RC Boats

4.1. Basic Controls

  • Forward/Backward: Use the throttle trigger on the remote control to move the boat forward or backward.
  • Turn Left/Right: Use the steering wheel on the remote control to turn the boat left or right.

4.2. Low Power and Out of Range Alerts

The remote control is equipped with alert functions to enhance user experience and prevent loss of the boat:

  • Low Power Alert: When the boat's battery is running low, the remote control will emit a beeping sound, indicating it's time to bring the boat back to shore for recharging.
  • Out of Range Alert: If the boat travels beyond the maximum control distance of approximately 164 feet (50 meters), the remote control will also beep, prompting you to steer the boat back within range.

4.3. Self-Righting Feature

The TOLLCY TR10 boats are designed with a self-righting feature. If the boat capsizes, simply use the remote control to briefly reverse and then accelerate forward. This action should cause the boat to flip back upright, allowing you to continue operation.

4.4. Recommended Operating Environments

These RC boats are suitable for use in various calm water environments:

  • Pools: Ideal for backyard fun.
  • Lakes: Operate in calm areas, away from strong currents or large waves.
  • Rivers: Use in slow-moving sections, avoiding strong currents or heavy boat traffic.

Warning: Do not operate in saltwater, as it can corrode internal components. Avoid areas with dense aquatic vegetation or debris that could entangle the propeller.

5. Maintenance and Care

Proper maintenance will extend the lifespan of your RC boats:

  • After Each Use:
    • Remove the boat from the water.
    • Open the waterproof cover and battery compartment.
    • Disconnect and remove the battery.
    • Wipe down the interior and exterior of the boat with a soft, dry cloth to remove any water or debris.
    • Ensure all compartments are completely dry before closing them or storing the boat.
  • Battery Storage: Store batteries in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Do not store fully charged or completely depleted batteries for extended periods.
  • Propeller Inspection: Regularly check the propeller for any debris (e.g., weeds, fishing line) that may have become entangled. Carefully remove any obstructions to ensure optimal performance.
  • Remote Control: Keep the remote control dry and clean. Remove batteries if storing for a long period to prevent leakage.
