3. Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to correctly assemble and prepare your pressure washer for use.

Six-step assembly guide for the pressure washer

Image: A visual guide showing six steps for easy assembly. This includes attaching the handle, securing side panels, connecting the spray gun to the wand, attaching the high-pressure hose to the spray gun, connecting the high-pressure hose to the unit, and attaching the water inlet connector.

  1. Attach the Handle: Slide the handle into the designated slots on the top of the pressure washer unit until it clicks into place.
  2. Secure Side Panels: If applicable, attach any side panels or accessory holders to the main unit.
  3. Connect Spray Gun to Wand: Twist the spray gun onto the wand until it is securely fastened.
  4. Connect High-Pressure Hose: Attach one end of the high-pressure hose to the spray gun and the other end to the high-pressure outlet on the pressure washer unit. Ensure connections are tight.
  5. Attach Water Inlet Connector: Screw the water inlet connector onto the water inlet port of the pressure washer.
  6. Connect Water Supply: Attach a standard garden hose to the water inlet connector. Ensure the garden hose is free of kinks and has a minimum diameter of 1/2 inch.
Diagram showing water supply connection options

Image: A diagram illustrating two methods for connecting the water supply: directly from a water tap or by drawing water from a bucket. For bucket use, ensure the unit is primed correctly.

Water Supply Connection:

  • Direct Connection: Connect your garden hose directly to a standard outdoor water tap.
  • Bucket/Gravity Feed (if applicable): If using a bucket, ensure the pressure washer is placed below the water level of the bucket to allow for gravity feed and proper priming. Consult the manual for specific instructions on priming the pump for gravity feed.

Before plugging in the unit, turn on the water supply completely and squeeze the trigger on the spray gun to purge air from the system until a steady stream of water emerges. This primes the pump and prevents damage.

4. Operating Instructions

Learn how to effectively use your pressure washer for various cleaning tasks.

Nozzle Selection:

The pressure washer comes with 5 quick-connect nozzles, each designed for specific applications:

Diagram of five different pressure washer nozzle spray patterns and their uses

Image: A visual representation of the five quick-connect nozzles and their corresponding spray patterns: 0° (red) for concentrated, high-impact cleaning; 15° (yellow) for intense cleaning on hard surfaces; 25° (green) for general cleaning; 40° (white) for gentle cleaning on delicate surfaces; and a black nozzle for soap application.

  • 0° Red Nozzle: Delivers a concentrated, high-impact stream. Use for stubborn stains on concrete or metal. Exercise extreme caution as it can damage surfaces.
  • 15° Yellow Nozzle: Provides a powerful, narrow spray. Ideal for intense cleaning of hard surfaces like brick, concrete, or removing paint.
  • 25° Green Nozzle: Offers a wider, general-purpose spray. Suitable for cleaning decks, patios, and driveways.
  • 40° White Nozzle: Produces a wide, gentle spray. Best for cleaning delicate surfaces such as vehicles, boats, or siding.
  • Black Soap Nozzle: Used for applying detergent at low pressure.

Starting the Pressure Washer:

  1. Ensure the water supply is fully open and air is purged from the system.
  2. Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet with GFCI protection.
  3. Turn the ON/OFF switch to the 'ON' position. The motor will start.
  4. Squeeze the trigger on the spray gun to begin spraying. Release the trigger to engage the Total Stop System (TSS), which automatically shuts off the pump to prolong its life.

Applying Detergent:

  1. Fill the detergent tank with pressure washer safe detergent.
  2. Attach the black soap nozzle to the spray gun.
  3. The pressure washer will automatically draw detergent when the soap nozzle is attached and the trigger is squeezed.
  4. Apply detergent to the cleaning surface, allowing it to soak for a few minutes (refer to detergent instructions).
  5. Remove the soap nozzle and replace it with a high-pressure nozzle (e.g., 25° green nozzle) to rinse the surface.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your pressure washer.

After Each Use:

  • Flush the System: Disconnect the detergent tank and run clean water through the system for 1-2 minutes to remove any detergent residue.
  • Turn Off and Disconnect: Turn off the pressure washer, unplug it from the power outlet, and turn off the water supply.
  • Relieve Pressure: Squeeze the spray gun trigger to release any remaining pressure in the system.
  • Drain Water: Disconnect the garden hose and high-pressure hose. Drain all water from the pump, hoses, and spray gun to prevent freezing damage.
  • Clean Nozzles: Use the included nozzle cleaning tool to clear any blockages from the nozzle tips.

Storage:

  • Store the pressure washer in a dry, frost-free environment.
  • If storing for an extended period or in freezing temperatures, use a pump protector/antifreeze solution to prevent damage to the pump.
  • Coil the high-pressure hose and power cord neatly.

6. Troubleshooting
