Installation Guide

Follow these steps carefully for proper installation. Refer to the provided videos for visual guidance.

1. Pre-Installation Check

Determine the gate moving direction (Push-to-Open or Pull-to-Open) and verify adequate space on the hinge and gate for bracket installation. Consult the manual's diagrams for precise measurements.

Video: CO-Z Swing Gate Opener Installation Reference Video (Full Guide). This video covers the entire installation process.

2. Gate Stopper Installation

Place the limit stop at the gate's fully closed position. Drill 4 holes and insert the expansion bolts to secure it.

3. Wall Bracket Installation

Attach the post brackets to the post pivot bracket using M8 screws, nuts, and washers. Secure the post bracket to the gate post with expansion bolts. Determine an appropriate mounting height for the brackets, ensuring the actuator's apex can be attached to your gate. Mark where you need to drill and use an 8mm drill bit. Use expansion or self-tapping bolts (M8x80 or larger) based on your gate's material.

4. Actuator Installation

Unlock the motor and fully extend the opener. Fix the front bracket to the gate opener and mount it in the predetermined spot on the gate. Ensure the front bracket doesn't interfere with the gate. Connect the end of the actuator to the other bracket with the long mounting bolt. Use a level to ensure the actuator is installed horizontally. Mark the installation position of the other bracket and drill holes. Again, choose appropriate bolts based on your gate's material.

5. Control Box Installation & Wiring

Install the control box at a convenient height. Pass the motor wires through the holes and connect motor 1 and 2 in the "- - + +" order. Connect motor 1's yellow wire to EM1, blue wire to LM1, motor 2's yellow wire to EM2, and blue wire to LM2. Pass the power wire through the hole and connect it to the power terminal. Connect one end to the control box and the other end to a power outlet.

6. Infrared Photocell Setup

Have a 2-core cable and a 4-core cable ready. Connect the 2-core cable to terminals V+ and V- of the transmitter. Connect the 4-core cable to terminals V+, V-, COM, and NC of the receiver. Take the other end of the cables and twist the positive and negative ends together. Connect the wire that transmits infrared signals to port 6 and connect the wire that is attached to COM to port 5. Connect the twisted positive and negative ends to ports 13 and 14. Use extension cords if the wires are not long enough.

7. Travel Setting

Unlock the gate opener, move the gate to the fully open position, then reversely rotate the manual release bar to lock. Press the "TS1" button until "AU" shows, then release the button. The control board will set opening and closing travel automatically. Till the gate is fully closed and the display shows "--" travel setting is finished. Open your door manually and see if it moves smoothly. If there's any sticking, check if the bracket positioning matches the instructions in the manual.

8. Set the Remote Control

To enter into the remote control mode, hold TS2 until "88" is shown and press TS1 three times. "--" will be displayed. Press TS2 to enter. From here, you can cycle through standard operation where each button on the remote control can be paired independent of the others; pairing mode 1 where a remote will be paired to a gate with its first button opening the gate, its second button closing the gate, its third button partially opening the gate to allow pedestrians in, and its fourth button pausing operation; pairing mode 2 which is identical to pairing mode 1 except that third and fourth buttons are reversed; and exit.
