5. Installation

This appliance must be installed by a qualified gas fitter in accordance with all applicable local and national codes and regulations. Incorrect installation can lead to gas leaks, fire, or explosion.

5.1 Site Preparation

  • Ensure the countertop material is heat-resistant and can support the weight of the cooktop.
  • Create a cut-out in the countertop according to the specified hole size: 620~680mm (width) × 330~380mm (depth).
  • Ensure sufficient clearance from adjacent combustible surfaces.

5.2 Gas Connection

  • Connect the cooktop to a natural gas supply line.
  • A gas pressure regulator must be installed and properly adjusted.
  • All connections must be leak-tested using a non-corrosive leak detection fluid.

5.3 Cooktop Placement

  • Carefully lower the cooktop into the prepared countertop cut-out.
  • Ensure it is level and securely seated.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Assembling Burner Components

Before first use and after cleaning, ensure all burner components are correctly assembled.

  1. Place the burner cap onto the burner base.
  2. Position the inner and outer flame rings correctly.
  3. Place the pan support (grate) securely over the burner.

6.2 Igniting a Burner

  1. Ensure all burner components are correctly in place.
  2. Push down and turn the corresponding control knob counter-clockwise to the "High" flame setting.
  3. The igniter will spark, and the burner should light. Hold the knob down for a few seconds after ignition to allow the thermocouple to heat up and activate the flame safety device.
  4. If the burner does not light, release the knob and repeat the process. If it still doesn't light, check the gas supply.

6.3 Adjusting Flame

Once lit, you can adjust the flame intensity by turning the control knob between the "High" and "Low" settings. The left burner provides 4.2 kW of power, and the right burner provides 5.2 kW, offering versatility for various cooking needs.

6.4 Turning Off a Burner

To turn off a burner, turn the control knob clockwise until it clicks into the "Off" position. Ensure the flame is extinguished.

7. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your cooktop.

7.1 General Cleaning

  • Always ensure the cooktop is cool before cleaning.
  • The tempered glass surface is easy to clean. Use a soft cloth with mild detergent and warm water. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads that can scratch the glass.

    • Ensure burner caps and rings are correctly positioned.
    • Clean any blockages in the burner ports.
  • Gas odor:
    • Immediately turn off all burners and the main gas supply.
    • Open windows for ventilation.
    • Do not operate any electrical switches or appliances.
    • Contact your gas supplier or a qualified technician immediately.
