The ELEGANT Pivot Shower Door is designed for reversible installation, allowing it to open from either the left or right side to suit your bathroom layout.

4.1 Pre-Installation Steps

1. Unpack and Inspect: Carefully unpack all components and inspect for any damage. Report any issues immediately.
2. Gather Tools: Ensure you have all necessary tools, including a drill, level, measuring tape, pencil, silicone caulk (mold-resistant, waterproof), caulk gun, and cleaning supplies.
3. Measure and Mark: Accurately measure your shower opening. Mark the desired position for the wall profiles, ensuring they are perfectly level.

4.2 Wall Profile Installation (Critical Steps for Watertight Seal)

To ensure a strong, watertight seal and professional finish, follow these steps for installing the wall profiles:

1. Position and Mark: Place the wall profile (the one that will hold the hinged side of the door) against the tile wall. Use a level to ensure it is perfectly vertical. Mark the drilling points and trace the outline of the profile on the wall with a pencil.
2. Apply Caulk: Before screwing the profile to the wall, apply two generous, continuous beads of high-quality, mold-resistant, waterproof silicone caulk to the back of the wall profile. Apply each bead approximately 1/2 inch from the edges.
3. Mount Profile: Carefully align the profile with your pencil marks and press it firmly against the wall. Wiggle it slightly to ensure the caulk spreads evenly.
4. Secure Profile: Insert and tighten the screws to secure the profile to the wall. This action will cause excess caulk to squeeze out.
5. Clean Excess Caulk: Immediately clean off all excess caulk from both sides of the profile. Use soapy water to achieve a smooth, clean finish. This method creates a uniform, 100% watertight seal behind and around the profile.
6. Cure Time: Allow the caulk to cure completely for at least 24 hours before proceeding with further installation steps. This is crucial for the integrity of the seal.

4.3 Door Panel and Remaining Profile Installation

1. Install Door Hinge Profile: Once the first wall profile is cured, attach the door hinge profile to it. Note that the door hinge profile does not necessarily need to go all the way inside the wall profile. This allows for minor width adjustments (up to 0.75 inches on each side) to accommodate uneven walls or specific opening sizes.

2. Hang Door Panel: Carefully hang the glass door panel onto the hinge mechanism. Ensure it is level. Temporarily secure it with tape if needed.

3. Install Opposite Wall Profile: Measure and align the remaining wall profile on the opposite side of the shower opening. Repeat the caulking and securing process as described in Section 4.2. Use clear silicone caulk for joining metal pieces for a seamless look.
4. Final Curing: Allow all newly applied caulk to cure for another 24 hours before using the shower.
5. Install Handle: Attach the stainless steel handle to the glass door.

• Opening the Door: Gently pull the handle to swing the door outward. The door can swing up to 90 degrees, providing ample walk-through space.
