3. Setup
3.1 Battery Installation
The Famidoc FDIR-V22 thermometer requires 2 AAA batteries (included). Ensure correct polarity when inserting the batteries.
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the handle of the thermometer.
- Slide the cover open.
- Insert 2 AAA batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the indicators inside the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Power On/Off
- To power on, press the measuring switch (trigger button) on the handle. The LCD screen will light up.
- The thermometer will automatically power off after 30 seconds of inactivity.
4.2 Selecting Measurement Mode
The thermometer supports two main measurement modes: Body Temperature and Object Temperature.
- Press the 'Human body/object temperature toggle' button (O/A button) to switch between body mode (indicated by a person icon) and object mode (indicated by a house icon).
4.3 Taking a Measurement
For accurate readings, ensure the infrared sensor is clean and free from obstructions.
- For Body Temperature: Point the infrared sensor at the center of the forehead, maintaining a distance of approximately 1 to 2 inches (2.5 to 5 cm).

To switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit, press the '℃/℉ toggle' button (up arrow button) while the device is powered on.
