1. Introduction

4. Setup Guide

4.1 Initial Setup and Connections

  1. Connect the provided antennas to the antenna ports on the rear of the ER2020Y receiver unit.
  2. Connect the power adapter to the DC IN port on the receiver unit and plug it into a power outlet.
  3. Connect your audio source (e.g., mixing console) to the receiver unit's input ports (XLR or 6.35mm Jack). The system supports both XLR and 6.35mm universal input ports.
  4. Insert AA batteries into the bodypack receiver(s). Ensure correct polarity.
  5. Connect your in-ear monitors to the 3.5mm headphone jack on the bodypack receiver.

4.2 Frequency Adjustment

The ER2020Y allows for independent frequency adjustment for each channel.

  1. Press the SET button on the corresponding channel panel on the receiver.
  2. The frequency number on the channel display will become editable.
  3. Use the UP and DOWN buttons to change the frequency.

4.3 Automatic Frequency Linking (IR Sync)

To automatically synchronize the bodypack receiver with the main unit:

  1. Turn on both the receiver unit and the bodypack receiver.
  2. Open the battery compartment cover of the bodypack receiver to expose the IR sensor.
  3. Align the IR point on the bodypack receiver with the IR sensor on the main receiver unit (usually located near the channel controls).
  4. Ensure the devices are within approximately 2 cm (0.8 inches) of each other. The frequency pairing will complete automatically.

4.4 Bluetooth Connection

To connect a Bluetooth device to the ER2020Y receiver:

  1. Ensure the ER2020Y receiver is powered on.
  2. Activate Bluetooth on your mobile phone or other Bluetooth-enabled device.
  3. Search for new devices. The ER2020Y will appear as "ER102" (or similar, refer to your device's display).
  4. Select "ER102" to connect. Once connected, you can stream audio wirelessly to the monitoring system.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

To power on the receiver unit, press the POWER button. To power off, press and hold the POWER button until the unit shuts down. Bodypack receivers typically have a separate power switch or button.

5.2 Channel Management

The ER2020Y system supports multiple bodypack receivers per channel. Each channel can connect up to 100 units, allowing for extensive monitoring setups.

5.3 Volume Control

Adjust the volume for each channel using the dedicated volume control knobs on the receiver unit. For individual monitoring, adjust the volume directly on the bodypack receiver.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the receiver and bodypack units. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.
  • Battery Replacement: Replace bodypack batteries when the low battery indicator appears or audio quality degrades. Always use fresh, high-quality AA batteries.
  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the system in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Remove batteries from bodypacks before long-term storage.
  • Cable Care: Avoid sharp bends or kinks in cables. Store cables neatly to prevent damage.

7. Troubleshooting
