4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Units

Before first use, fully charge both the transmitter and receiver using the provided USB-C charging cables. The units have a built-in lithium battery and can last up to 6 hours on a full charge. The charging case also provides additional charges for extended use.

4.2 Connecting to Your Device

Connect the receiver to your recording device using the appropriate cable:

  • For DSLR Cameras/Camcorders: Use the 3.5mm TRS to TRS camera output cable.
  • For Smartphones/Tablets: Use the 3.5mm TRS to TRRS phone output cable.
  • For iPhones (Lightning port): An additional 3.5mm TRRS to Lightning adapter (not included) is required.
  • For USB-C Smartphones/Tablets/Laptops: A 3.5mm TRRS to USB-C cable (not included) or a USB adapter (not included) may be required depending on your device.

4.3 Automatic Pairing

The SKM-K1 transmitter and receiver are designed to pair automatically upon powering on. Ensure both units are charged and powered on for seamless connection.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

Press and hold the Power button on both the transmitter (TX) and receiver (RX) units to turn them on or off.

5.2 Gain Adjustment

The transmitter features 6 levels of gain adjustment. Use the +/- buttons on the transmitter to adjust the input gain level (0-6) of the built-in microphone to suit your recording environment and desired audio volume.

Short press the Power/Mute button on the transmitter to mute or unmute the microphone. The receiver also has a mute function for its output.
