Important Note: This remote is NOT compatible with garage door openers that use DIP switches.

Setup and Programming

Battery Installation

Your remote comes with a pre-installed 3V CR2032 Lithium battery. If replacement is needed, ensure correct polarity.

Programming Instructions

Follow these steps to program your ASONPAO remote to your garage door opener. It is recommended to perform these steps within approximately 30 seconds once programming mode is initiated.

  1. Putting Opener into Programming Mode (New Openers):
    • Press and hold the program button on your garage door opener until the round LED turns blue, then release.
    • The round LED will go out and the long LED will begin flashing purple.
    • Proceed to step 2.
  2. Putting Opener into Programming Mode (Genie® Openers and External Receivers Manufactured between 1995 to 2011):
    • Press and Release the Learn Code button once. The red LED will begin to flash.
    • Proceed to step 2.
  3. Programming a Remote to Your Opener:
    • Slowly press and release the remote button of your choice two times. The opener LEDs will flash and go off, indicating you have successfully programmed your remote.
    • Press and release the same button a third time and the door will open or close. If the LEDs do not go OFF, press the remote button several more times to achieve confirmation.

Maintenance

Battery Replacement

The remote is equipped with a 240MAH Lithium battery designed for extended life. When the remote's range decreases significantly or the LED indicator fails to light up, it may be time to replace the battery. Use a CR2032 battery for replacement, ensuring correct polarity during installation.

This will erase all previously programmed remotes. Then, reprogram your existing remotes.
