6. Operating Instructions

Before operating, ensure the battery is fully charged and the chain is correctly installed and tensioned.

  1. Insert a charged battery into the chainsaw until it clicks into place.
  2. To start the chainsaw, press the safety lock button (located on the side of the handle) and then squeeze the variable speed trigger switch.
  3. The chain speed will vary based on how much the trigger is squeezed.
  4. When cutting, allow the chainsaw to reach full speed before engaging the material.
  5. Apply light pressure and let the saw do the work. Do not force the saw through the material.
  6. To stop the chainsaw, release the variable speed trigger switch.

Cutting Tips:

  • For branches up to 6 inches in diameter, the chainsaw can cut efficiently.
  • Always maintain a firm grip with both hands if possible, or one hand if the design allows for safe single-handed operation, ensuring stability.
  • Be aware of kickback and maintain proper footing.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your chainsaw.

7.1 Chain Lubrication

Apply chain oil regularly to the guide bar and chain to reduce friction and wear. The included oil bottle can be used for this purpose.

7.2 Chain Sharpening and Tension

  • A dull chain will reduce cutting efficiency and increase strain on the motor. Sharpen the chain as needed or replace it with a new one.
  • Check chain tension before each use. A loose chain can derail, and an overly tight chain can cause premature wear.

7.3 Cleaning and Storage

  • After each use, clean sawdust and debris from the guide bar, chain, and motor housing.
  • Remove the battery before cleaning.
  • Store the chainsaw in a dry, secure location, out of reach of children. Use the provided storage bag for protection.
