Recording Features

Loop Recording:

The dash cam continuously records video in segments. When the MicroSD card is full, the oldest footage will be automatically overwritten by new recordings. This ensures continuous recording without manual intervention.

G-Sensor (Emergency Recording):

In the event of a sudden impact or collision, the built-in G-sensor will detect the event and automatically lock the current video segment, preventing it from being overwritten by loop recording. These emergency files are stored in a separate folder.

Maintenance

MicroSD Card Management:

  • The dash cam supports MicroSD cards up to 128GB. A 64GB card is included.
  • Regularly format the MicroSD card (at least once a month) through the FITCAMX app settings to ensure optimal performance and prevent data corruption. Formatting will erase all data on the card.
  • If the card is not formatted regularly, it may lead to recording errors or reduced lifespan.

General Care:

  • Keep the dash cam lens clean to ensure clear video quality. Use a soft, dry cloth.
  • Avoid exposing the dash cam to extreme temperatures outside its operating range (-20°C to 85°C).
  • Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the dash cam yourself, as this will void the warranty.

Troubleshooting

Q: Do I need to turn on the dash cam every time? Is WiFi connection required for recording?
A: No. The dash cam automatically turns on/off with your car engine. You do not need to manually connect to WiFi after the initial setup for it to record.
Q: Can I view videos after turning off the car?
A: Videos are saved on the MicroSD card, not your phone. You can view downloaded videos on your phone anytime. To view videos not yet downloaded, you must connect to the dash cam's WiFi while the car is running. Alternatively, you can insert the MicroSD card into a PC to view all recordings.
Q: My phone cannot connect to the dash cam's WiFi. What should I do?
A: Ensure the car engine is started and the dash cam is working. If issues persist, try turning off cellular data/Bluetooth on your phone. If the problem continues, contact customer service with screenshots of your WiFi and app pages.
Q: Why does the dash cam get hot?
A: It is normal for the dash cam to generate heat. The FITCAMX camera is designed to operate normally between -20°C to 85°C (-4°F to 185°F). The confined space around the camera and direct sunlight through the windshield can contribute to higher temperatures.
Q: Does this dash cam have parking monitoring?
A: This model does not include parking monitoring by default. Parking mode functionality depends on whether your car's power plug provides continuous electricity. Upgrading to this function typically requires an extra harness cable. Note that parking mode usually activates only upon serious collision, not 24/7 continuous recording.
