5. Setup and Installation

6. Operating Instructions
The controller is factory-set to 48V / 325A / 5K-0Ω throttle. For basic operation, no further adjustments are typically needed if your vehicle matches these specifications.
6.1 Initial Power-Up
- Ensure all safety precautions are followed and the battery is connected.
- Turn the vehicle's keyswitch to the ON position.
- Slowly depress the accelerator pedal to test motor response. The vehicle should move smoothly.
6.2 Parameter Adjustment
The controller's parameters, such as acceleration, High Pedal Disable (HPD), voltage, plugging, and throttle input type, can be adjusted using a Curtis 1313-3301 handheld programmer. This allows for customization to suit specific vehicle requirements or different throttle inputs (e.g., 8 other throttle inputs).
