Product Overview

The Puroma Key Lock Box is a versatile and secure solution for storing keys. It features a durable construction and a resettable combination lock, suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Its design allows for two primary installation methods, providing flexibility for various applications.

Setup

1. Setting the Combination Code

The lock box comes pre-set with the code 0-0-0-0. To reset to your custom 4-digit code, follow these steps:

1. Set the dials to the default code (0-0-0-0) to open the key box.
2. Inside the open compartment, locate the RESET button (a small lever). Push the RESET button from position A to position B.
3. While the button is in position B, set your new desired 4-digit combination on the dials.
4. Push the RESET button back from position B to position A to lock in your new code.

2. Installation Methods

The Puroma Key Lock Box offers two convenient installation options:

Option A: Hanging with Removable Shackle

The lock box comes with a removable steel shackle, allowing it to be hung on a doorknob, fence, or other suitable location.

1. Open the lock box compartment.
2. Locate the inner button (usually on the side of the shackle housing). Push this button from right to left.
3. While holding the button, pull the shackle upwards to detach it.
4. To reattach, align the shackle with the holes and push it down until it clicks into place.

Option B: Wall-Mounted Installation

For a more permanent installation, the lock box can be securely mounted to a wall using the provided screws and expansion plugs.

1. Open the lock box compartment and remove the shackle if attached.
2. Place the back of the lock box against the desired wall surface and mark the position of the 4 mounting holes with a pencil.
3. Using an impact drill, drill holes at the marked positions.
4. Insert the provided expansion plugs into the drilled holes, tapping them gently with a hammer until flush with the wall.
5. Align the lock box with the installed plugs and tighten the screws with a Phillips screwdriver until secure.

Operating Instructions

Once installed and the combination is set, operating the Puroma Key Lock Box is straightforward:

1. To open, slide down the protective cover to reveal the dials.
2. Rotate the dials to your set 4-digit combination.
3. Press the release lever (usually on the side or bottom of the dial mechanism) to open the compartment door.
4. Place or retrieve keys from the spacious internal compartment.
5. To close, firmly push the compartment door shut until it latches.
6. Scramble the dials to secure the lock box.
7. Slide the protective cover back up to conceal the dials and protect them from elements.

Troubleshooting

While the Puroma Key Lock Box is designed for reliable operation, here are some common issues and solutions:

• Difficulty opening: Ensure the dials are precisely aligned with your set combination. Sometimes, slight misalignment can prevent opening.
• Stiff dials: If the dials are hard to turn, apply a small amount of silicone spray lubricant to the dial mechanism.
• Forgotten combination: If the combination is forgotten, there is no master key or backdoor to open the lock box without the correct code. It is crucial to record your combination in a secure place.
