Setup and Installation
Proper installation is crucial for optimal performance. If you are unsure about any steps, consult a qualified RV technician.
1. Mounting the Camera
The BTC125 camera is designed to mount as a clearance light on the rear of your RV or travel trailer. Choose a location that provides a clear, unobstructed view of the rear and allows for secure wiring connections.
- Identify a suitable mounting location, typically where an existing clearance light is or can be installed.
- Use the provided gasket as a template to mark drilling points for mounting screws and wire pass-through.
- Drill pilot holes for the mounting screws and a larger hole for the wiring. Ensure no internal components or wiring are damaged during drilling.
- Secure the gasket to the camera's mounting surface.
- Mount the camera securely using the provided screws.

2. Wiring Connections
The camera requires a 12V DC power supply. Connect the camera's wires to your RV's power system, typically to the existing clearance light wiring or another switched 12V source.
- Red Wire: Connect to 12V positive (+) power.
- Black Wire: Connect to ground (-) power.
- Green Wire (Trig): This is an optional trigger wire. If connected to a reverse light circuit, the camera can automatically switch to reverse view on your monitor when reversing.
- White Wire (GND): This is an additional ground wire, typically used with the trigger wire.

Ensure all connections are secure and properly insulated using the provided terminal cap and other appropriate connectors to prevent short circuits and water ingress.
3. Pairing with Monitor System
After installation, you will need to pair the BTC125 camera with your compatible Haloview BT7 or BT6 monitor. Refer to your monitor's instruction manual for specific pairing procedures. Generally, the process involves:
- Power on your Haloview monitor.
- Access the pairing menu on the monitor.
- Ensure the BTC125 camera is powered on.
- Initiate the pairing process on the monitor. The camera should automatically connect.
If pairing fails, ensure the camera is powered correctly and within range of the monitor. Refer to the troubleshooting section for common pairing issues.
Operating Instructions
1. Powering On/Off
The camera powers on automatically when it receives 12V DC power. It will power off when the power supply is disconnected.
2. Video Display
Once paired, the camera's video feed will display on your Haloview monitor. The 1080P FHD resolution provides a clear and detailed view of the rear of your vehicle.
3. Night Vision Features
The BTC125 features Full-Color Dim-Light Night Vision and Night Vision Fill Lights for enhanced visibility in low-light conditions.
- The camera's powerful image sensors deliver a full-color image even in dim-light conditions.
- The Night Vision Fill Lights can be activated or deactivated remotely by your monitor if the ambient light is extremely low. Consult your monitor's manual for this function.
- Once the camera's night light is turned ON, it will automatically illuminate when there is no sunlight.
4. Indicator Status
The camera features two blue indicator lights to provide status information:

- Left Blue Light (Night Light):
- When night light is ON, the display shows a light bulb icon, and the camera's left blue light is ON.
- When night light is OFF, the camera's left blue light is OFF.
- Right Blue Light (Power Polarity Indicator Light):
- The indicator light on the right turns ON when the positive and negative terminals of the power supply are correctly connected.
- If this light does not turn ON, it indicates that the power polarity is reversed. Correct the wiring immediately.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your BTC125 camera.
- Cleaning: Periodically clean the camera lens and marker light cover with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could scratch the lens.
- Wiring Inspection: Annually inspect all wiring connections for corrosion, fraying, or loose terminals. Ensure all connections remain waterproof.
- Mounting Security: Check the camera's mounting screws periodically to ensure they are tight and the camera is securely attached to the vehicle.
