Setup and Installation
Professional installation is highly recommended for optimal performance and safety. The following steps provide a general guide for installation.
General Installation Steps:
- Preparation: Ensure your vehicle is turned off and the battery is disconnected for safety.
- Remove Old Headlights: Locate the retaining rods or clips holding the existing headlight assemblies. For many GMC Sierra models, this involves turning two retaining rods a quarter turn and pulling them straight up, then the headlight assembly can be pulled out.
- Disconnect Wiring: Carefully disconnect the electrical connectors from the old headlight assembly.
- Install Bulbs (if not pre-installed): Insert your 9005 (HB3) high beam and H11 low beam bulbs into the new DWVO headlight assemblies. Ensure bulbs are fully seated and locked into place. Note: Some users have reported issues with bulb tabs not aligning perfectly; minor adjustments to the bulb tab may be necessary for a secure fit.
- Connect New Headlights: Connect the electrical wiring from your vehicle to the new DWVO headlight assemblies.
- Position New Headlights: Carefully slide the new headlight assemblies into their respective openings. Ensure all tabs and mounting points align correctly.
- Secure Headlights: Re-engage the retaining rods or clips to secure the new headlight assemblies. Ensure both inner and outer locking pins are fully seated. Note: Verify that the assembly sits flush and does not pop out due to tension, as some aftermarket units may require careful alignment.
- Test Functionality: Reconnect the battery and test all lighting functions: low beam, high beam, daytime running lights (DRL), and turn signals.
- Adjust Beam (if necessary): Use the beam adjuster screw on the rear of the housing to ensure proper light alignment.

Operating Instructions
The DWVO LED DRL Headlight Assemblies offer enhanced lighting features for improved visibility and safety.
- Daytime Running Lights (DRL): The sleek, bright LED DRLs are designed to increase your vehicle's conspicuity during daylight hours, making your car more noticeable to other drivers. These typically activate automatically when the vehicle is running.
- Low Beam: Provides standard illumination for driving at night or in low-light conditions.
- High Beam: Offers maximum illumination for clear, unobstructed roads, providing a longer and wider light spread.

Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your headlight assemblies.
- Cleaning: Clean the polycarbonate lenses regularly with a soft cloth and mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that can damage the lens material.
- Inspection: Periodically inspect the headlight assemblies for any signs of damage, cracks, or loose connections.
- Weather Protection: The assemblies are weather-sealed to prevent moisture intrusion. However, ensure the seals remain intact and free from debris.

Troubleshooting
Condensation Inside Headlight:
It is common for clear covers to mist up due to temperature differences, which is not necessarily a malfunction. The assemblies are equipped with one-way vents to help manage this.

How to Solve:
- Method 1: Take the bulbs out and let the inside cover dry completely. This allows air circulation to evaporate the moisture.
- Method 2: If fogging persists, consider applying a silica-gel drier packet inside the housing (ensure it's securely placed and won't interfere with components) or apply a small bead of flowable silicone sealant around the plastic weld seam of the lens to ensure a tighter seal.
Fitment Issues:
If the headlight assembly does not fit perfectly or seems loose:
- Double-check that all retaining rods, clips, and tabs are correctly aligned and fully engaged.
- Ensure no wiring or other components are obstructing the assembly from seating properly.
- Verify that the vehicle model and year are within the specified compatibility range.
