1. Important Safety Instructions

The SAHAUHY WTE60-1A Commercial Dehumidifier is designed for efficient moisture removal in large spaces. It can extract up to 158 pints of moisture per day, making it suitable for basements, warehouses, and other industrial or commercial environments.

4. Setup and Installation

4.1 Placement

Place the dehumidifier in an area where the humidity is highest and where there is adequate air circulation. Ensure at least 8 inches (20 cm) of space around the unit for optimal performance. The unit is suitable for:

4.2 Drainage Options

The SAHAUHY dehumidifier offers two primary drainage methods:

4.2.1 Continuous Gravity Drainage (Plumbing Drainage)

For continuous operation without emptying the water tank, connect the included drain hose to the drainage port on the unit. Ensure the hose is sloped downwards to allow water to drain by gravity into a suitable floor drain or container. The unit includes a 2-meter (6.56 ft) drain hose.

4.2.2 Internal Pump Drainage

The dehumidifier features a built-in heavy-duty pump for automatic drainage, allowing water to be pumped upwards or over longer distances. This method is ideal when a gravity drain is not available or is located above the unit. The pump hose length is approximately 16.4 ft.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Control Panel

The unit is equipped with an easy-to-operate touch panel for setting and monitoring functions.

• Power Button: Turns the unit ON or OFF.
• Up/Down Buttons: Adjust humidity settings or timer duration.
• OK Button: Confirms selections.
• Timer Button: Sets the 24-hour ON/OFF timer.
• Purge Button: Activates the pump to drain any remaining water from the internal tank (if applicable).

5.2 Setting Desired Humidity

1. Press the Power button to turn on the unit.
2. Use the Up or Down buttons to set your desired humidity level (e.g., 45% - 55% RH is generally recommended for comfort).
3. The unit will automatically operate to maintain the set humidity level.

5.3 Timer Function

The 24-hour timer allows you to schedule the unit to turn ON or OFF automatically.

1. Press the Timer button.
2. Use the Up or Down buttons to set the desired ON or OFF time.
3. Press OK to confirm.

5.4 Automatic Functions

• Auto-Defrost: The unit will automatically initiate a defrost cycle if frost builds up on the evaporator coils, ensuring efficient operation in cooler temperatures.
• Auto-Restart: In case of a power outage, the unit will automatically restart with the previous settings once power is restored.
• Auto-Shutoff & Alarm: If the internal water tank (if used) becomes full, the unit will automatically shut off and trigger an alarm to prevent overflow.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your dehumidifier.

6.1 Cleaning the Air Filter

The reusable mesh filter should be cleaned regularly, typically every 2-4 weeks, depending on usage and air quality.

1. Turn off the dehumidifier and unplug it from the power outlet.
2. Locate and remove the air filter (refer to the unit's exterior for filter access).
3. Wash the filter with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
4. Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinstalling it.
5. Reinsert the dry filter and plug in the unit.

6.2 Cleaning the Unit Exterior

Wipe the exterior of the dehumidifier with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your dehumidifier, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:

• Unit does not turn on: Check if the power cord is securely plugged into a grounded outlet. Ensure the power button is pressed.
• No dehumidification: Verify that the desired humidity level is set lower than the current room humidity. Check if the air filter is clean and not obstructed. Ensure the unit is not in defrost mode.
• Water tank full alarm: If using the internal tank, empty it. If using continuous drainage, ensure the drain hose is properly connected and not kinked or blocked, and that it is sloped downwards.
• Unusual noise: Check for any loose parts or obstructions around the fan. Ensure the unit is on a stable, level surface.
