Setup

Connecting the Hub

Connect the Tapo H200 Hub to your home router using the provided Ethernet cable. Plug in the DC power adapter to power on the hub. The hub's LED should turn solid amber, indicating it's ready for setup.

Setting up the Hub via App

Download the Tapo app from your device's app store. Create an account and log in. Follow the in-app instructions to add your Tapo H200 Hub. Ensure your phone is connected to the same network as your hub during this process.

Setting up the Camera via App

Once your hub is successfully added and online in the Tapo app, you can proceed to add your cameras. Tap the '+' icon in the app and select your camera model (Tapo C420). Follow the app's instructions to insert the battery and ensure the camera's status LED blinks red and green.

Quickly Pair Your Camera with the Hub

To quickly pair your camera with the hub, ensure the hub is online. Press the SYNC button on your hub once. Then, press the SYNC/RESET button on your camera once. When the camera's LEDs turn from blinking green to solid green, the connection is complete. Refresh the Home page on the Tapo app to find your newly added camera.

Live View and Controls

Access the live view of your cameras through the Tapo app. The live view interface provides various controls for managing your camera.

Resetting Hub and Camera

To Reset the Hub: Use a pin to press and hold the Reset button on the hub for about 5 seconds until the hub LED quickly blinks red.
