Before First Use:

  1. Remove any labels, protective film, or stickers from the soleplate.

Filling the Water Tank:

  1. Ensure the iron is unplugged from the power outlet.
  2. Set the steam output control to the 'Dry Ironing' position (no steam).
  3. Open the water filling inlet cover.
  4. Using a measuring cup, carefully pour distilled or demineralized water into the water tank up to the 'MAX' level indicator. Do not overfill.
  5. Close the water filling inlet cover securely.

5. Operating Instructions

Temperature Setting:

  1. Plug the iron into a suitable electrical outlet.
  2. Turn the temperature control dial to the desired setting based on the fabric type (e.g., synthetic, silk, wool, cotton, linen). Refer to garment care labels.
  3. The indicator light will illuminate, indicating the iron is heating. It will turn off when the set temperature is reached.

Dry Ironing:

  1. Ensure the water tank is empty or the steam output control is set to the 'Dry Ironing' position.
  2. Set the temperature according to the fabric type.
  3. Once the indicator light turns off, begin ironing.

Steam Ironing:

  1. Fill the water tank as described in the 'Setup' section.
  2. Set the temperature control dial to the 'Steam' range (usually indicated by a steam symbol or higher temperature settings like cotton/linen). Steam will only be produced at higher temperatures.
  3. Once the indicator light turns off, adjust the steam output control to the desired steam level.
  4. Begin ironing.

Spray Function:

  1. Ensure there is water in the tank.
  2. Press the 'Spray' button to release a fine mist of water onto the fabric, helping to dampen stubborn creases.

Shot of Steam / Vertical Steam:

  1. Ensure the iron is at a high temperature (e.g., cotton/linen setting) and the indicator light has turned off.
  2. For a shot of steam, press the 'Steam' button repeatedly at intervals of a few seconds.
  3. For vertical steaming, hold the iron vertically a few centimeters away from hanging garments (curtains, suits, dresses) and press the 'Steam' button.

6. Maintenance

Cleaning the Iron:

  1. Always unplug the iron and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Wipe the exterior of the iron with a damp cloth and then dry with a soft, dry cloth.
  3. To clean the soleplate, use a damp cloth and a non-abrasive cleaner if necessary. Do not use abrasive scouring pads or metal cleaners.

Descaling (Anti-Calc Function):

Regular descaling helps maintain steam performance. If your iron has a self-clean function, follow these steps:

  1. Fill the water tank to the 'MAX' level with water.
  2. Set the temperature control to maximum and plug in the iron.
  3. Once the indicator light turns off, unplug the iron.
  4. Hold the iron horizontally over a sink. Press and hold the self-clean button (if available) or the steam shot button while gently shaking the iron. Hot water and steam will be expelled from the soleplate, carrying away mineral deposits.
  5. Continue until the water tank is empty.
  6. Plug in the iron again, let it heat up, and iron an old cloth to dry the soleplate.

Storage:

  1. Unplug the iron and allow it to cool completely.
  2. Empty any remaining water from the tank.
  3. Store the iron upright on its heel rest to protect the soleplate.
