4.1 Before First Use

  • Remove any labels or protective film from the soleplate.
  • It is normal for a slight odor or smoke to occur during the first few minutes of use as manufacturing residues burn off. This is harmless.
  • Test the iron on an old piece of fabric to ensure no residue is transferred to your garments.

4.2 Filling the Water Tank

  1. Ensure the iron is unplugged from the power outlet.
  2. Set the steam control to the "Dry Ironing" position (usually indicated by a crossed-out steam symbol or "OFF").
  3. Open the water inlet cover.
  4. Fill the water tank with clean tap water up to the "MAX" fill line. Do not overfill.
  5. Close the water inlet cover securely.

Note: For areas with hard water, it is recommended to use a mixture of 50% tap water and 50% distilled water to prolong the life of your iron and prevent mineral buildup.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Temperature Selection

  1. Plug the iron into a suitable power outlet.
  2. Turn the temperature dial (Shift Selection) to the desired setting based on the fabric type. Refer to the garment's care label.
  3. The indicator light will illuminate, indicating the iron is heating. It will turn off when the selected temperature is reached.

5.2 Dry Ironing

  • Ensure the water tank is empty or the steam control is set to "Dry Ironing".
  • Select the appropriate temperature.
  • Once the indicator light turns off, begin ironing.

5.3 Steam Ironing

  • Fill the water tank as described in Section 4.2.
  • Set the temperature dial to a steam-suitable setting (usually indicated by three dots or "MAX" on the dial). Steam is only generated at higher temperatures.
  • Once the indicator light turns off, adjust the steam button to the desired steam level for continuous steam (e.g., 30g/min).
  • For stubborn wrinkles, press the "Explosive Steam" (Power Shot) button for a powerful burst of steam (e.g., 100g). Wait a few seconds between bursts to allow the iron to reheat.
  • Press the "Spray Button" to emit a fine mist of water for dampening fabrics.

5.4 Vertical Steaming

  • Ensure the water tank is filled and the iron is heated to a high temperature setting.
  • Hold the iron vertically, a few centimeters away from the garment.
  • Press the "Explosive Steam" button repeatedly to release steam and remove wrinkles from hanging garments, curtains, etc.

5.5 After Use

  1. Turn the temperature dial to the "OFF" or minimum setting.
  2. Unplug the iron from the power outlet.
  3. Allow the iron to cool down completely before storing.
  4. Empty any remaining water from the tank to prevent mineral buildup.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

6.1 Self-Clean Function

The self-clean function helps remove scale and mineral deposits from the steam chamber.

  1. Fill the water tank to the "MAX" line.
  2. Plug in the iron and set the temperature dial to "MAX".
  3. Once the indicator light turns off, unplug the iron.
  4. Hold the iron horizontally over a sink.
  5. Press and hold the "Self Clean" button. Hot water and steam will be expelled from the soleplate, carrying away impurities.
  6. Gently shake the iron back and forth until the water tank is empty.
  7. Release the "Self Clean" button and plug the iron back in to dry the soleplate.
  8. Unplug and allow to cool before storing. Perform this function monthly or as needed.

6.2 Cleaning the Soleplate

  • Ensure the iron is unplugged and completely cool.
  • Wipe the soleplate with a damp cloth and a non-abrasive cleaner if necessary.
  • Do not use abrasive scouring pads or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the ceramic coating.

6.3 Storage

  • Always store the iron upright on its heel rest to prevent damage to the soleplate.
  • Ensure the iron is completely cool and empty of water before storing.
  • Wrap the power cord neatly around the cord wrap area if available, or secure it with a tie.
