- Position: Place the power base on a stable, flat, and heat-resistant surface, away from the edge of the counter.

Operating Instructions
Making Turkish/Greek Coffee:
- Add Water: Fill the stainless steel pot with cold water. For traditional Turkish coffee, a common ratio is one cup of water per serving. Do not exceed the maximum fill line (500ml).
- Add Coffee and Sugar (Optional): For each cup of water, add one to two teaspoons of very finely ground Turkish coffee. Add sugar to taste if desired. Do not stir yet.
- Place on Base: Place the pot securely onto the detachable power base. The 360-degree rotating base allows for easy placement from any angle.
- Start Heating: Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet. Press the On/Off switch (usually indicated by a red light) to begin heating. The indicator light will illuminate.
- Stir (Optional): Once the coffee begins to warm, you may gently stir the mixture to ensure the coffee and sugar dissolve evenly. Avoid over-stirring as the coffee heats up.
- Observe Foam: As the coffee heats, a dark foam will begin to rise to the surface. This is a characteristic of Turkish coffee.
- Automatic Shut-off: The appliance is designed to automatically switch off once the coffee reaches boiling point and the foam rises significantly. The indicator light will turn off.
- Serve: Carefully remove the pot from the base using the handle. Pour the coffee slowly into small cups, distributing the foam evenly. Allow the coffee grounds to settle for a minute before drinking.
Boiling Water:
- Fill Pot: Fill the stainless steel pot with the desired amount of water, ensuring it does not exceed the 500ml maximum fill line.
- Place on Base: Place the pot securely onto the detachable power base.
- Start Heating: Plug the power cord into an electrical outlet and press the On/Off switch. The indicator light will illuminate.
- Automatic Shut-off: The appliance will automatically turn off once the water reaches boiling point. The indicator light will turn off.
- Pour: Carefully remove the pot from the base and pour the hot water as needed.

Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning and proper maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your SOKANY SK-214 Electric Turkish Coffee Maker.
- Unplug and Cool: Always unplug the appliance from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Clean the Pot:
- After each use, rinse the interior of the stainless steel pot with warm water.
- For thorough cleaning, wash with warm, soapy water using a soft sponge or cloth.
- Rinse thoroughly to remove all soap residue.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the stainless steel finish.
- Clean the Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the pot and the power base with a damp cloth. For stubborn stains, a mild detergent can be used, followed by wiping with a clean, damp cloth.
- Do NOT Immerse Base: Never immerse the power base, power cord, or plug in water or any other liquid.
- Descaling (Periodically): Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) may build up inside the pot, especially in areas with hard water.
- Fill the pot with a mixture of equal parts water and white vinegar (or a commercial descaling solution according to its instructions).
- Heat the mixture to boiling point (the appliance will automatically shut off).
- Allow the mixture to sit in the pot for 15-30 minutes, then discard.
