4. Setup

4.1 Battery Installation

1. Unscrew the battery cover at the bottom of the pinpointer.
2. Insert the provided 9V battery, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
3. Securely screw the battery cover back on to maintain the waterproof seal.

4.2 Attaching Lanyard and Holster

• Attach the hanging wire (lanyard) to the designated loop on the pinpointer to prevent accidental loss.
• The belt holster can be attached to your belt for convenient carrying and quick access during use.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

• To power on the device, press and hold the power button until the LCD screen illuminates.
• To power off, press and hold the power button again until the screen turns off.

5.2 Switching Detection Modes

The PudiBe HS10 offers three detection modes:

1. Sound Mode: Provides audible alerts when metal is detected.
2. Vibration Mode: Provides silent vibration alerts.
3. Sound & Vibration Mode: Combines both audible and vibration alerts.

To switch between modes, quickly press the power button repeatedly. Each press will cycle through the available modes.

5.3 Target Detection

• Hold the pinpointer with the tip facing the area you wish to scan.
• As the device approaches a metallic object, the signal strength will increase, indicated by faster beeps/vibrations and a rising bar on the LCD screen.
• The LED flashlight will also illuminate to assist in visual identification of the target.

6. Waterproof Use

The PudiBe HS10 is designed to be fully waterproof with an IP66 rating, allowing for complete immersion in water. This feature enables treasure hunting in aquatic environments such as beaches, rivers, and shallow waters.

• Ensure the battery cover is securely tightened before submerging the device.
• After use in saltwater, rinse the pinpointer with fresh water to prevent corrosion.

7. Maintenance

• Cleaning: After each use, especially in sandy or wet conditions, wipe down the device with a damp cloth. For saltwater use, rinse thoroughly with fresh water.
• Storage: Store the pinpointer in a cool, dry place when not in use. Remove the battery if storing for extended periods to prevent leakage.
• Battery Replacement: Replace the 9V battery when the low battery indicator appears on the LCD screen or when performance diminishes.

8. Troubleshooting

• Device Not Powering On: Ensure the 9V battery is correctly installed and fully charged. Check that the battery cap is securely fastened.
