1. Introduction

2. Setup

2.1 Battery Installation

The remote control requires two (2) AAA batteries (not included). Follow these steps to install the batteries:

1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
2. Slide the battery compartment cover downwards or press the latch and lift to open.
3. Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the markings inside the compartment.
4. Replace the battery compartment cover by sliding it back into place until it clicks securely.

2.2 Initial Use

Once batteries are installed, the remote control is ready for use. No pairing or complex setup is required. Simply point the remote at your Gree Window Air Conditioner and press the desired function button.

3.1 Button Functions

• On/Off: Powers the air conditioner on or off.
• Mode: Cycles through operating modes such as Cool, Fan, Dry, Heat (if applicable to your AC unit).
• Swing: Activates or deactivates the automatic louver swing function.
• Temp ▲/▼: Adjusts the temperature setting up or down. Note: Temperature is displayed in Celsius only.

• Light: Controls the display light on the air conditioner unit.
• Fan: Adjusts the fan speed (e.g., Low, Medium, High, Auto).

• Turbo: Activates maximum cooling or heating for rapid temperature change.
• X-Fan: Activates the X-Fan (or anti-mildew) function, which runs the fan for a short period after shutdown to dry the evaporator coil.

• Ensure a clear line of sight between the remote control and the air conditioner's receiver.
• Avoid placing obstacles between the remote and the unit.
• The effective range of the remote control is typically up to 8 meters (26 feet).

4. Maintenance

4.1 Battery Replacement

Replace batteries when the remote control's display becomes dim or its response time slows. Always replace both batteries simultaneously with new AAA batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries.

4.2 Cleaning the Remote Control

Wipe the remote control with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners, abrasive cleaners, or chemical solvents, as these can damage the remote's surface or internal components.

5. Troubleshooting

• Remote control not responding:
  • Check if the batteries are inserted correctly with the correct polarity.
  • Replace old batteries with new AAA batteries.
  • Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the air conditioner.
  • Confirm you are within the effective operating range.
• Air conditioner not responding to certain functions:

• Temperature display is in Celsius only:
  • This remote control is designed to display temperature in Celsius only. There is no option to switch to Fahrenheit.
