- Ensure cross bore and edge bore holes are correctly drilled.
2. Install Latch and Strike Plate
- Insert the latch into the door edge, ensuring the "UP" arrow is facing upwards. Secure with screws.
- Install the strike plate on the door frame, aligning it with the latch bolt.
3. Install Exterior Keypad Assembly
- Feed the cable through the cross bore hole.
- Align the tailpiece with the center hole of the latch.
- Press the exterior assembly flush against the door.
4. Install Interior Assembly
- Attach the mounting plate to the door using screws, ensuring the cable passes through the opening.

5. Install Batteries
The lock requires 4 AA alkaline batteries (not included). Open the battery cover on the interior assembly and insert the batteries, observing polarity (+/-). Close the cover securely.
6. Door Handing Process
This step is crucial for the lock to learn the orientation of your door. After battery installation, the lock will automatically perform a handing process. If it doesn't, press the "Lock" button on the keypad. The latch bolt should extend and retract to determine door handing.

- Enter a new 4-8 digit user code on the keypad.
- Press the Lock button once.
- If successful, the keypad will flash green and beep once. If unsuccessful, it will flash red and beep three times.
Note: To delete a user code, follow the same steps but enter the code you wish to delete. The lock will confirm deletion.

- Using Key: Insert the physical key into the keyhole and turn to unlock.
- From Interior: Turn the thumbturn to the horizontal position.
Maintenance
Battery Replacement
When the batteries are low, the lock will emit a series of beeps and the keypad will flash red when attempting to lock or unlock. Replace all four AA alkaline batteries promptly to ensure continued operation.
- Remove the battery cover on the interior assembly.
- Remove old batteries and dispose of them properly.
- Insert four new AA alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity.

Note: After replacing batteries, it is good practice to test the lock's functionality with a user code and the physical key.
Cleaning
To clean the lock, use a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the finish and electronic components.
