3.5. GPS Module Installation

  1. Connect the GPS module to the dedicated GPS port on the mirror dash cam unit.
  2. Mount the GPS module on your dashboard or windshield, ensuring it has a clear view of the sky for accurate signal reception.

3.6. Micro SD Card Insertion

  1. Insert a high-speed Micro SD card (Class 10 or U3, up to 128GB) into the SD card slot on the mirror dash cam unit.
  2. Upon first use, or if experiencing issues, format the SD card through the dash cam's settings menu to ensure proper functionality.

4.3. Recording Functions

  • Loop Recording: The dash cam continuously records, overwriting the oldest files when the SD card is full. You can set the loop recording duration (e.g., 1, 3, or 5 minutes) in the settings.
  • G-Sensor (Emergency Recording): The built-in G-sensor detects sudden impacts or collisions and automatically locks the current video segment to prevent it from being overwritten. Adjust sensitivity (Low, Middle, High) in settings.
  • Parking Monitoring: When enabled in settings, the dash cam can record short video clips if it detects an impact while the vehicle is parked. This feature requires a continuous power supply (hardwire kit, sold separately).
  • GPS Tracking: Records your vehicle's speed and location data, which can be viewed during playback using compatible software on a computer.

  • SD Card Care: Regularly format your Micro SD card (at least once a month) to maintain optimal recording performance and prevent data corruption. Replace the SD card every 6-12 months, as continuous overwriting can degrade its performance.
  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the camera lenses and the mirror screen. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Cable Management: Periodically check all cables to ensure they are securely connected and not pinched or damaged.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Dash Cam Not Powering On: Ensure the car charger adapter is securely plugged into the 12V outlet and the Type-C cable is firmly connected to the dash cam. Check your vehicle's fuse for the 12V outlet.
  • Recording Issues (Not Recording/Stopping): Format the Micro SD card in the dash cam's settings. Ensure the SD card is Class 10 or U3 and not full. Try a different, known-good SD card.
  • Poor Video Quality: Ensure camera lenses are clean. Check resolution settings in the menu. Verify the SD card meets the recommended specifications for 2.5K recording.
  • Rear Camera Not Displaying: Check the connection of the rear camera cable to the extension cable and the main unit. Ensure the rear camera itself is not damaged.
  • GPS Not Working: Ensure the GPS module is connected and mounted in a location with a clear view of the sky. Allow a few minutes for the GPS signal to acquire.
  • Screen Freezing/Unresponsive: Press and hold the power button for 10-15 seconds to force a restart. If the issue persists, try formatting the SD card.
  • Files Not Playable on Computer: Ensure you are using a compatible media player. Some dash cam files may require specific codecs or the manufacturer's playback software.
