1. Introduction

3. Product Overview

3.1 Front Panel

4. Setup and Installation

  5. Connect Power: Connect the provided 12V DC power adapter to the DC 12V port on the matrix switcher, then plug the adapter into a power outlet.
  6. Power On: Turn on the matrix switcher using the ON/OFF switch. Then, power on your HDMI source devices and display devices.
  7. Rack Mounting: The device is designed to be rackmountable in a standard 1U 19-inch cabinet/rack. Secure it using appropriate rackmount screws (not included).

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Control Methods

The Yinker 8x8 HDMI Matrix Switcher offers multiple control options:

  • Front Panel Buttons: Directly select input and output ports using the physical buttons on the device. First, press the desired input button (e.g., IN1), then press the desired output button (e.g., OUT1), and finally press the "ENTER" button to confirm the switch.
  • IR Remote Control: Use the included IR remote to switch inputs and outputs. Point the remote towards the IR receiver on the front panel.
  • RS232 Port Control: Connect a PC or control system via the RS232 port. Use the provided CD driver for software installation and follow the protocol in the user manual for command-based control.
  • LAN Port Control: Connect to a network via the LAN port. Download the control software from the provided CD driver and follow the instructions for network-based control.

5.2 Display Modes

The matrix switcher supports three primary display modes:

  • One-to-All Mode: A single input source is displayed on all connected output displays. To activate, select an input, then press "ALL" and "ENTER" on the front panel.
  • Output-to-Output (O-to-O) Mode: Each output displays its corresponding input (e.g., Output 1 displays Input 1, Output 2 displays Input 2, etc.). To activate, press "MENU" until "SWITCH O To O" appears, then press "ENTER".
  • Matrix Mode: Any input can be routed to any output independently. Select an input, then select the desired output(s), and press "ENTER". Note that only one input can be selected at a time for routing to multiple outputs.

5.3 Scene Management (Store and Recall)

The matrix switcher allows you to store and recall up to 16 different scene configurations. This feature is useful for quickly switching between frequently used setups.

  • Store Scene: First, configure the desired input-to-output routing. Then, press "MENU" until "STORE SCENE" appears on the LCD. Use the "UP" and "DOWN" buttons to select a scene number (1-16), and press "ENTER" to save the current configuration.
  • Recall Scene: To recall a saved scene, press "MENU" until "RECALL SCENE" appears on the LCD. Use the "UP" and "DOWN" buttons to select the desired scene number, and press "ENTER" to load the saved configuration.
