3. Setup

3.1 Unpacking and Inspection

1. Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
2. Inspect the pottery wheel and all accessories for any signs of damage during transit. If any damage is found, do not operate the machine and contact VEVOR customer support.
3. Ensure all listed components are present: pottery wheel unit, foot pedal, 8 stainless steel tools, 8 wood tools, hex wrench, and apron.

3.2 Placement

• Place the pottery wheel on a firm, level, and stable surface capable of supporting its weight and the forces generated during operation.
• Ensure there is adequate space around the machine for comfortable operation and movement.
• Position the machine near a grounded electrical outlet.

3.3 Height Adjustment

The pottery wheel features adjustable legs to optimize your working posture.

1. Loosen the locking mechanisms on each leg.
2. Adjust the legs to your desired height within the 0-6 inch (0-15 cm) range.
3. Ensure all three legs are adjusted to the same height to maintain stability.

3.4 Power Connection

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Basic Operation

1. Power On: Flip the red On/Off switch on the control panel to the 'On' position. The indicator light will illuminate.
2. Select Rotation Direction: Use the green switch on the control panel to select the desired rotation direction (clockwise or counter-clockwise). This accommodates both right-handed and left-handed users.
3. Speed Control: Gently press down on the foot pedal to increase the turntable's speed. The speed can be smoothly adjusted from 0 to 300 RPM. Release pressure on the pedal to decrease speed. To stop the wheel completely, release the foot pedal and turn off the main power switch.
4. Centering Clay: Place a lump of clay firmly in the center of the turntable. Begin with a low speed and gradually increase as you apply pressure to center the clay.
5. Shaping: Once the clay is centered, use your hands and the provided tools to shape the clay as desired. Maintain a consistent speed and apply even pressure.
6. Water Management: The removable water basin helps contain clay and water splatter. Keep a sponge and water nearby for wetting your hands and tools.
7. Power Off: After use, release the foot pedal, turn off the main On/Off switch, and unplug the machine from the power outlet.
