This manual provides essential information for the safe assembly, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your chainsaw. Please read it thoroughly before first use and retain it for future reference.
2. Safety Information
Operating any power tool requires adherence to strict safety guidelines to prevent injury. Always prioritize your safety and the safety of those around you.
General Safety Precautions:
- Wear Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Always wear safety glasses, gloves, and sturdy footwear. Consider hearing protection and a hard hat for overhead work.
- Maintain a Secure Grip: Always hold the chainsaw firmly with one hand on the handle. Ensure a stable and balanced stance.
- Clear Work Area: Ensure the area around you is free of obstacles, bystanders, and pets. Be aware of falling branches.
- Inspect Before Use: Before each use, check the chainsaw for any damage, loose parts, or proper chain tension.
- Avoid Accidental Starts: The chainsaw is equipped with a safety lock button. Always engage the safety lock when not actively cutting and before performing any maintenance.
- Protect Against Debris: The rotatable protective baffle helps guard against flying debris. Ensure it is in the correct position for your cutting task.
- Do Not Overreach: Avoid awkward body positions. Keep proper footing and balance at all times.
- Battery Safety: Use only the provided charger and batteries. Do not expose batteries to extreme temperatures or moisture.

4.2 Chainsaw Assembly (if required)
Your chainsaw may come with the chain pre-installed. If not, carefully attach the guide bar and chain according to the diagrams in the quick start guide (not included in this manual, but typically provided with the product). Ensure the chain is oriented correctly with the cutting teeth facing the direction of rotation.
4.3 Chain Tension Adjustment
Proper chain tension is crucial for safe and efficient operation. Use the provided wrench and screwdriver to adjust the chain tension. The chain should be snug against the guide bar but still able to be pulled freely by hand. Refer to the detailed video instructions (if available from the manufacturer's website) for visual guidance on maintaining proper tension.
4.4 Chain Lubrication
The chainsaw does not have an automatic oiling system. It is essential to manually lubricate the chain before and during use, especially for extended cutting tasks. Fill the provided empty oil bottle with appropriate chainsaw bar and chain oil (not included). Apply a small amount of oil directly to the chain and guide bar to ensure smooth operation and prevent premature wear.
5. Operating Instructions
Once assembled, charged, and lubricated, your Tomyvic Mini Electric Chainsaw is ready for use. Always wear safety glasses and gloves during operation.
5.1 Starting the Chainsaw
- Insert a fully charged battery into the battery slot until it clicks into place.
- Hold the chainsaw firmly with one hand on the ergonomic handle.
- Press and hold the safety lock button (usually located on the side of the handle).
- While holding the safety lock, press the trigger switch to start the chainsaw. Release the safety lock once the chain begins to move.
5.2 Cutting Techniques
The Tomyvic Mini Electric Chainsaw is designed for cutting branches up to approximately 4 inches in thickness. Its high-power copper motor provides efficient cutting at 19.2 ft/s chain speed.
- Trimming Branches: For smaller branches, position the chainsaw firmly against the branch and allow the chain to do the work. Avoid forcing the saw.
- Cutting Logs/Firewood: For logs up to 4 inches, ensure the log is stable and elevated if possible. Make a smooth, steady cut.
- One-Handed Operation: The lightweight design (2.51 lbs) allows for comfortable one-handed use, but always maintain a secure grip and stable footing.

6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your chainsaw.
6.1 Chain Lubrication
As mentioned in the setup section, manually lubricate the chain and guide bar frequently during use. This reduces friction, heat, and wear on the chain and motor.
6.2 Chain Sharpening and Replacement
A dull chain will reduce cutting efficiency and put strain on the motor. Sharpen the chain regularly or replace it with a new one when necessary. Use the provided wrench and screwdriver for chain replacement. Always ensure the replacement chain is compatible with your 6-inch guide bar.
6.3 Cleaning
After each use, remove the battery and clean the chainsaw. Use a brush or compressed air to remove sawdust, wood chips, and debris from the chain, guide bar, and motor housing. Ensure the ventilation slots are clear to allow for proper heat dissipation.

Figure 6.1: Ensure proper heat dissipation by keeping vents clear.
6.4 Storage
When not in use, store the chainsaw in its sturdy case in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children. Ensure batteries are removed from the tool before storage.
