2. Setup and Assembly

2.1 Unboxing and Component Identification

2.2 Installing Backing Plate and Handles

The polisher comes with two backing plates (6-inch and 7-inch) and two types of handles (D-handle and side handle) for versatile use. Choose the appropriate size backing plate and handle for your task.

  1. Attaching the Backing Plate: Align the backing plate with the spindle of the polisher. Press the spindle lock button (located on top of the polisher) to secure the spindle, then rotate the backing plate clockwise until it is firmly tightened.
  2. Installing the D-handle: The D-handle offers a 135° adjustable grip. Insert the handle into the designated slots on the polisher head and secure it with the provided screws using the hex key. Ensure it is tightly fastened for stability.
  3. Installing the Side Handle: Alternatively, the side handle can be screwed directly into the side port of the polisher head. Tighten it securely.

2.3 Attaching Polishing Pads

  3. Press the pad firmly onto the backing plate to ensure a secure attachment.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Powering On and Speed Control

Connect the polisher to a standard 110V power outlet. The unit features a 6-variable speed dial and a trigger-lock button for continuous operation.

  • Variable Speed Dial: Adjust the speed from 1600 RPM to 3500 RPM using the dial located on the top of the handle.
  • Trigger-Lock Button: Press the trigger to start the polisher. For continuous operation, press the trigger-lock button while the trigger is engaged. Release the trigger-lock button to stop continuous operation.

  2. Apply a small amount of polish or compound directly to the pad or the working area.
  3. Place the pad flat on the surface before turning on the polisher to prevent splatter.
  4. Start at a low speed (1-2 gears) to spread the product evenly.
  5. Gradually increase the speed to the recommended setting for your task.
  6. Move the polisher in a consistent, overlapping pattern (e.g., cross-hatch) across the surface, applying even pressure. Avoid pressing too hard, as this can reduce efficiency and potentially damage the surface.
  7. Work in small sections (e.g., 2x2 feet) to ensure thorough coverage and prevent the product from drying out.
  8. After polishing, wipe off any residue with a clean microfiber towel.

4. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your ETOOLAB polisher.

4.1 Cleaning Polishing Pads

After each use, clean the polishing pads to remove residual polish and debris. This prevents contamination and ensures consistent performance.

  1. Remove the pad from the backing plate.
  2. Use a brush to gently scrub off dried compound or wax from the pad surface.
  3. Rinse the pad thoroughly with water until all residue is removed.
  4. Squeeze out excess water and allow the pads to air dry completely before storage. Do not wring out by hand, as this can damage the pad structure.

4.2 General Polisher Cleaning

Wipe down the body of the polisher with a clean, damp cloth to remove any dust or polish splatter. Ensure no liquids enter the motor housing.
