4. Setup

4.1 Initial Water Circuit Filling

Before first use, or if the machine has been stored for a long time, the internal water circuit needs to be filled. This process is unique to this machine:

  1. Use the special syringe provided in the kit. Aspirate some water or fill the syringe by removing the plunger.
  2. Insert the syringe into the water intake hole (usually located near the water tank connection) and press the plunger until water enters the circuit.
  3. Repeat this procedure 2-3 times, or until water flows out of the vent tube located near the water tank cap.
  4. Once the circuit is filled, you can attach the water tank and fill it with fresh, potable water.

4.2 Filling the Water Tank

  • Remove the water tank from the back of the machine.
  • Fill the tank with fresh, cold potable water up to the MAX line.
  • Place the water tank back onto the machine, ensuring it is securely seated.

4.3 Power Connection

  • Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet. The machine will enter standby mode (low power consumption < 1W).

6. Maintenance

Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your coffee machine.

6.1 Daily Cleaning

  • Drip Tray: The drip tray should be emptied and cleaned by hand after every 10 uses or when full. It is not dishwasher safe.
  • Adapters: After each use, it is recommended to run a hot water cycle without a capsule in the adapter to flush out any coffee residues. For deeper cleaning, wash adapters by hand with warm water and mild dish soap. Avoid dishwashers as harsh detergents can damage silicone gaskets.
  • Ground Coffee Filter: After each use, run a hot water cycle through the filter without coffee. If the micro-holes become clogged, use a needle or a descaling solution to clear them.
  • Machine Exterior: Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.

6.2 Descaling

Descaling is recommended every 400 coffees, or more frequently if you use hard water. Use a suitable descaling solution designed for coffee machines.

  1. Fill the water tank with the descaling solution according to the product instructions.
  2. Place a large container under the coffee outlet.
  3. Run several brewing cycles until the water tank is empty.
  4. Rinse the water tank thoroughly and refill it with fresh, clean water.
  5. Run at least 2-3 full water tank cycles with clean water to flush out any remaining descaling solution.

6.3 Auto-Off Feature

The machine automatically switches off after 15 minutes of inactivity to save energy.
