2. Product Overview

2.1 Components

Familiarize yourself with the various parts of your record player:

3. Safety Information

Please observe the following safety precautions to prevent electric shock, fire, or damage to the unit:

  • Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heaters, or other devices that generate heat.
  • Unplug the unit from the A/C mains socket during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.
  • To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose the unit to rain, moisture, dripping or splashing, and no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, must be placed on the unit.
  • DO NOT overload wall outlets or extension cords beyond their rated capacity as this can cause an electric shock or fire.
  • No naked flame sources, such as lit candles, should be placed on the unit.
  • The ventilation openings should not be blocked by covering them with items such as newspapers, tablecloths, curtains, etc.

4. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your record player:

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
  2. Attach Feet: Screw the provided feet into the designated holes on the bottom of the unit until secure.
  3. Placement: Place the record player on a stable, level surface away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and excessive dust or vibrations. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.
  4. Power Connection: Connect the DC 5V power adapter to the "Power In" port on the back of the unit, then plug the adapter into a wall outlet.
  5. Dust Cover: Ensure the dust cover is properly positioned or removed before operation.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Playing Vinyl Records

  1. Power On: Turn the Power Switch & Volume Control knob clockwise to turn on the unit. The power indicator will light up red.
  2. Select Speed: Set the Speed Selector to the appropriate speed (33 1/3, 45, or 78 RPM) for your record. Use the 45 single adaptor for 7-inch records if needed.
  3. Place Record: Carefully place a vinyl record on the turntable platter.
  4. Release Tone Arm: Gently release the Tone Arm from its rest.
  5. Position Stylus: Use the Tone Arm Lifter to raise the tone arm, then manually position the stylus over the desired starting groove of the record.
  6. Lower Tone Arm: Slowly lower the Tone Arm Lifter to allow the stylus to descend onto the record. Playback will begin.
  7. Adjust Volume: Rotate the Volume Control knob to adjust the sound level.
  8. Auto Stop: If the Auto Stop switch is ON, the turntable will stop spinning automatically when the record finishes. If OFF, it will continue to spin.
  9. End Playback: At the end of playback, use the Tone Arm Lifter to raise the tone arm, return it to the Tone Arm Rest, and secure it with the latch. Turn the Power Switch & Volume Control knob counter-clockwise to turn off the unit.

5.2 Bluetooth Connectivity

Your record player supports both Bluetooth input (receiving audio) and Bluetooth output (transmitting audio).

5.2.1 Bluetooth Input (Using as a Bluetooth Speaker)

  1. Power On: Turn on the record player.
  2. Select Bluetooth Mode: Press the "MODE" button until the Bluetooth indicator light turns blue and flashes, indicating pairing mode.
  3. Pair Device: On your smartphone, tablet, or laptop, enable Bluetooth and search for "VOSTERIO B-629-7" (or similar device name). Select it to pair.
  4. Play Audio: Once paired, the blue indicator light will stop flashing. You can now play audio from your device through the record player's built-in speakers.

5.2.2 Bluetooth Output (Connecting to External Bluetooth Devices)

  1. Power On: Turn on the record player and ensure it is in Vinyl or USB playback mode.
  2. Activate Pairing on External Device: Put your external Bluetooth speaker, soundbar, or headphones into pairing mode.
  3. Initiate Bluetooth Output: Press and hold the "MODE" button until the Bluetooth indicator light turns blue and flashes rapidly, indicating it is searching for an external Bluetooth device.
  4. Connect: The record player will automatically connect to the nearest available Bluetooth device in pairing mode. Once connected, the blue indicator light will stop flashing. Audio from the record player will now be transmitted to the external Bluetooth device.

5.3 USB Playback

  1. Insert USB: Insert a USB flash drive containing MP3 audio files into the USB port.
  2. Select USB Mode: Press the "MODE" button until the unit enters USB playback mode. The LED display will show track information.
  3. Control Playback: Use the "PLAY/PAUSE", "PREV", and "NEXT" buttons to control audio playback.

5.4 Vinyl to MP3 Recording

You can convert your vinyl records directly to MP3 files on a USB stick.

  1. Prepare USB: Ensure a USB flash drive is inserted into the USB port.
  2. Start Vinyl Playback: Begin playing the vinyl record you wish to record (refer to section 5.1).
  3. Start Recording: While the vinyl is playing, press and hold the "MODE" button until the LED display indicates recording has started.
  4. Stop Recording: Press the "PLAY/PAUSE" button to stop the recording. The recorded MP3 file will be saved to the USB drive.

5.5 Piano Keyboard Function

The integrated piano keyboard is fully functional and can be played independently or along with music.

  • Playing Keys: Simply press the black and white keys to produce piano sounds.
  • Percussion Instruments: The three black keys on the far right of the keyboard function as percussion instruments. Press them to activate drum sounds.
  • Volume Control: The volume of the keyboard is controlled by the main Volume Control knob.

6. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your record player.

  • Cleaning the Unit: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior of the unit. For stubborn marks, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by a dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Stylus Care: The stylus is delicate. Clean it gently with a soft brush designed for stylus cleaning, brushing from back to front. Avoid touching the stylus with your fingers. Replace the stylus periodically (e.g., every 200-300 hours of playback) to prevent damage to your records and maintain sound quality.
  • Dust Cover: Keep the dust cover closed when the unit is not in use to protect the turntable and stylus from dust and debris.
  • Record Care: Keep your records clean and free of dust. Store them vertically in their sleeves to prevent warping.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your record player, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
