3. Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the kettle and all accessories from the packaging. Dispose of packaging materials responsibly.
- First Use Cleaning: Before first use, fill the kettle with clean water up to the MAX mark. Boil the water, then discard it. Repeat this process 2-3 times to remove any manufacturing residues.
- Placement: Place the power base on a dry, flat, and stable surface. Ensure the power cord is not dangling or in contact with hot surfaces.
4. Operating Instructions
- Fill the Kettle: Open the lid and fill the kettle with the desired amount of fresh water. Do not fill below the MIN mark or above the MAX (1.0L) mark. Overfilling may cause boiling water to spill out.
- Place on Power Base: Close the lid securely. Place the kettle onto its power base.
- Connect to Power: Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet (220V).
- Switch On: Press the On/Off switch located on the handle downwards. An indicator light will illuminate, signifying that the kettle is heating.
- Automatic Shut-off: The kettle will automatically switch off once the water has boiled. The indicator light will turn off, and the switch will return to the 'Off' position.
- Pouring: Carefully lift the kettle from its base and pour the hot water. Always pour slowly and steadily to avoid splashing.
- Re-boiling: If you need to re-boil water immediately after it has boiled, wait a few seconds for the internal thermostat to reset before pressing the switch again.
5. Cleaning and Maintenance
Regular cleaning and maintenance will prolong the life of your kettle.
- Before Cleaning: Always unplug the kettle from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the kettle with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the ceramic finish.
- Interior Cleaning: Rinse the interior with clean water. For stubborn stains, use a soft brush or sponge.
- Descaling: Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) may build up inside the kettle, especially in hard water areas. To descale, fill the kettle with a mixture of water and white vinegar (1:1 ratio) or a commercial descaling solution. Boil the mixture, then let it stand for at least 30 minutes (or as per descaler instructions). Discard the mixture and rinse the kettle thoroughly several times with fresh water.
- Storage: When not in use, store the kettle in a dry place. You can wrap the power cord around the base for neat storage.
