Operating Instructions
1. Powering On/Off
Press the power button once to turn the toothbrush on. Press it again to turn it off. The toothbrush will automatically turn off after the recommended 2-minute brushing cycle.
2. Selecting a Mode
The Sonicare 6100 offers three brushing modes: Clean, White, and Gum Care. Press the mode selection button (the lower button on the handle) to cycle through the available modes. The illuminated indicator light next to each mode name will show the currently selected mode.
- Clean Mode: Standard mode for superior everyday cleaning.
- White Mode: Designed to remove surface stains and whiten teeth.
- Gum Care Mode: Provides a gentle massage for gums, ideal for improving gum health.
3. Adjusting Intensity Settings
Each mode has three intensity settings (low, medium, high). While the toothbrush is on, press the intensity button (the upper button on the handle) to adjust the vibration intensity. The three indicator lights above the mode names will show the selected intensity level.

4. Smart Timer and QuadPacer
The built-in smart timer ensures you brush for the dentist-recommended 2 minutes. The QuadPacer feature signals every 30 seconds, prompting you to move to the next quadrant of your mouth for an even clean.
5. Pressure Sensor
Your Sonicare 6100 is equipped with a pressure sensor. If you apply too much pressure while brushing, the handle will vibrate differently to alert you to reduce pressure. This helps protect your gums and teeth from excessive force.

Maintenance
1. Cleaning Your Toothbrush
- After each use, rinse the brush head and bristles thoroughly under running water.
- Wipe the handle with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the handle in water.
- Clean the charging base periodically with a damp cloth.
2. Brush Head Replacement
The brush head replacement reminder tracks how long you have been using your brush head and how hard you have been brushing. It will beep and/or illuminate an indicator light to inform you when to replace your brush head. For optimal performance and hygiene, replace your brush head every 3 months, or sooner if the bristles are splayed or worn.
