  • Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.
  • The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
  • Do not use outdoors.
  • Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
  • Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
  • Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.

  • Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
  • This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. Before First Use

  1. Unpack all components and remove any packaging materials.
  2. Wash the inner pot, steamer tray, measuring cup, and rice spoon thoroughly with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry completely.
  3. Wipe the exterior of the rice cooker unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water.
  4. Ensure all parts are dry before assembly and use.

Operation

Cooking Rice

  1. Measure Rice: Use the provided measuring cup to measure the desired amount of rice. One cup of uncooked rice typically yields about 2-3 cups of cooked rice.
  2. Rinse Rice: Rinse the rice in a separate bowl until the water runs clear. This helps remove excess starch.
  3. Add Rice and Water: Place the rinsed rice into the non-stick inner pot. Add the appropriate amount of water. A common ratio is 1 cup of rice to 1.5-2 cups of water, but this can vary based on rice type and desired consistency. Refer to the water level markings inside the inner pot for guidance.
  4. Place Inner Pot: Ensure the exterior of the inner pot is dry, then place it into the main rice cooker unit.
  5. Close Lid: Close the side-hinged cover securely.
  6. Plug In: Plug the power cord into a 120V electrical outlet. The "WARM" indicator light will illuminate.
  7. Start Cooking: Press the one-touch "COOK" button. The "COOK" indicator light will illuminate, and the cooking process will begin.
  8. Automatic Warming: Once the rice is cooked, the cooker will automatically switch to the "WARM" function, and the "WARM" indicator light will turn on.
  9. Serve: Allow the rice to rest on "WARM" for 5-10 minutes before serving for best results. Use the provided rice spoon to fluff and serve.

Using the Steamer Function

  1. Prepare Water: Add water to the inner pot. Ensure the water level is below the steamer tray.
  2. Place Steamer Tray: Place the steamer tray into the inner pot.
  3. Add Food: Arrange food items (vegetables, dumplings, etc.) on the steamer tray.
  4. Close Lid: Close the side-hinged cover securely.
  5. Start Steaming: Plug in the cooker and press the "COOK" button. The "COOK" indicator light will turn on.
  6. Monitor: Steam until food is cooked to desired tenderness. The cooker will switch to "WARM" when the water has evaporated, but for steaming, it's often necessary to manually turn off the cooker or unplug it once food is done.
  7. Caution: Be careful when opening the lid after steaming, as hot steam will escape.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Proper cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your rice cooker.

  • Always unplug the rice cooker from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  • Inner Pot and Accessories: The non-stick inner pot, steamer tray, measuring cup, and rice spoon should be washed by hand with warm, soapy water. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads that could damage the non-stick coating. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
  • Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials. Never immerse the main unit in water or any other liquid.
  • Steam Vent: Periodically check the steam vent on the lid for any food residue and clean if necessary to ensure proper steam release.
  • Storage: Store the rice cooker in a dry place when not in use.
