Operation
Cooking Rice
- Measure Rice: Use the provided measuring cup to measure the desired amount of rice. One cup of uncooked rice typically yields about 2-3 cups of cooked rice.
- Rinse Rice: Rinse the rice in a separate bowl until the water runs clear. This helps remove excess starch.
- Add Rice and Water: Place the rinsed rice into the non-stick inner pot. Add the appropriate amount of water. A common ratio is 1 cup of rice to 1.5-2 cups of water, but this can vary based on rice type and desired consistency. Refer to the water level markings inside the inner pot for guidance.
- Place Inner Pot: Ensure the exterior of the inner pot is dry, then place it into the main rice cooker unit.
- Close Lid: Close the side-hinged cover securely.
- Plug In: Plug the power cord into a 120V electrical outlet. The "WARM" indicator light will illuminate.
- Start Cooking: Press the one-touch "COOK" button. The "COOK" indicator light will illuminate, and the cooking process will begin.
- Automatic Warming: Once the rice is cooked, the cooker will automatically switch to the "WARM" function, and the "WARM" indicator light will turn on.
- Serve: Allow the rice to rest on "WARM" for 5-10 minutes before serving for best results. Use the provided rice spoon to fluff and serve.

Using the Steamer Function
- Prepare Water: Add water to the inner pot. Ensure the water level is below the steamer tray.
- Place Steamer Tray: Place the steamer tray into the inner pot.
- Add Food: Arrange food items (vegetables, dumplings, etc.) on the steamer tray.
- Close Lid: Close the side-hinged cover securely.
- Start Steaming: Plug in the cooker and press the "COOK" button. The "COOK" indicator light will turn on.
- Monitor: Steam until food is cooked to desired tenderness. The cooker will switch to "WARM" when the water has evaporated, but for steaming, it's often necessary to manually turn off the cooker or unplug it once food is done.
- Caution: Be careful when opening the lid after steaming, as hot steam will escape.

Cleaning and Maintenance
Proper cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your rice cooker.
- Always unplug the rice cooker from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Inner Pot and Accessories: The non-stick inner pot, steamer tray, measuring cup, and rice spoon should be washed by hand with warm, soapy water. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads that could damage the non-stick coating. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
- Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials. Never immerse the main unit in water or any other liquid.
- Steam Vent: Periodically check the steam vent on the lid for any food residue and clean if necessary to ensure proper steam release.
- Storage: Store the rice cooker in a dry place when not in use.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your rice cooker, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Rice is too hard or undercooked. | Insufficient water; lid not properly closed; rice not allowed to rest on WARM. | Add more water next time; ensure lid is sealed; allow rice to rest on WARM for 5-10 minutes after cooking cycle completes. |
| Rice is too soft or mushy. | Too much water; rice not rinsed properly. | Reduce water next time; rinse rice thoroughly before cooking. |
| Cooker does not turn on. | Not plugged in; power outlet malfunction; thermal fuse activated. | Ensure plug is securely inserted; test outlet with another appliance; if thermal fuse activated, contact customer support. |
| Steam or water spitting from vent. | Normal during cooking; steam vent blocked. | This can be normal. Ensure the steam vent is clear of any blockages. Do not overfill the inner pot. |
If the problem persists after attempting these solutions, please contact customer support.
