Control Panel

The digital touchscreen allows for easy control of cooking settings and programs.

  • Temperature Display: Shows current or set temperature (50°C - 200°C).
  • Time Display: Shows current or set cooking time.
  • Temperature Adjustment Buttons (+/-): Increase or decrease temperature.
  • Time Adjustment Buttons (+/-): Increase or decrease cooking time.
  • Preset Program Icons: 10 pre-programmed settings for various food types (e.g., fries, chicken, fish, vegetables, cake, DIY).
  • Power Button: Turns the appliance on/off and starts/pauses cooking.

Setup

  1. Unpack: Remove all packaging materials, stickers, and labels from the appliance.
  2. Clean: Wash the frying basket and any removable accessories in hot, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. Wipe the exterior of the appliance with a damp cloth.
  3. Placement: Place the main unit on a stable, level, and heat-resistant surface. Ensure there is at least 10 cm (4 inches) of free space around the back and sides of the appliance to allow for proper air circulation.
  4. First Use (Burn-off): Before cooking food, it is recommended to run the air fryer empty for about 10-15 minutes at 180°C (350°F) to eliminate any manufacturing odors. A slight odor or smoke may be present during this initial use; this is normal. Ensure the area is well-ventilated.

Operating Instructions

Basic Operation

  1. Connect Power: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet. The display will illuminate briefly.
  2. Prepare Food: Place your ingredients into the frying basket. Do not overfill the basket to ensure even cooking.
  3. Insert Basket: Slide the frying basket back into the main unit until it clicks into place.
  4. Power On: Press the Power button to turn on the appliance.
  5. Set Temperature and Time:
    • Use the Temperature Adjustment buttons (+/-) to set the desired cooking temperature (50°C - 200°C).
    • Use the Time Adjustment buttons (+/-) to set the desired cooking time.
  6. Start Cooking: Press the Power button again to start the cooking process. The fan and heating element will activate.
  7. Monitor Cooking: Some foods may require shaking or turning halfway through the cooking time. Carefully pull out the basket, shake or turn the food, and then reinsert the basket. The appliance will resume cooking automatically.
  8. End of Cooking: When the cooking time is complete, the appliance will beep, and the heating element will turn off. Carefully pull out the basket and transfer the cooked food to a serving plate.
  9. Power Off: Press and hold the Power button to turn off the appliance, or it will automatically enter standby mode after a short period of inactivity.

Using Preset Programs

The DMS HFG-7 features 10 preset programs for common dishes. To use a preset:

  1. Prepare and load food into the basket.
  2. Press the Power button to turn on the appliance.
  3. Tap the desired preset icon on the touchscreen. The appliance will automatically set the recommended temperature and time for that program.
  4. You can adjust the temperature and time manually even after selecting a preset, if needed.
  5. Press the Power button to start cooking.

Cooking Tips

  • Preheating: For best results, preheat the air fryer for 3-5 minutes at the desired cooking temperature before adding food.
  • Oil Usage: While the air fryer cooks without oil, a small amount of oil (1-2 teaspoons) can be added to some foods for extra crispiness and flavor.
  • Even Cooking: For smaller items like fries or nuggets, shake the basket halfway through cooking. For larger items, flip them.
  • Batch Cooking: If cooking large quantities, cook in smaller batches to ensure even cooking and crispiness.
  • Doneness: Always ensure food is cooked to a safe internal temperature.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your air fryer.

  1. Unplug and Cool: Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Frying Basket: The frying basket has a non-stick coating. Wash it with hot water, dish soap, and a non-abrasive sponge. For stubborn residue, soak the basket in hot water for about 10 minutes before cleaning.
  3. Interior: Wipe the interior of the appliance with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or metal scouring pads.
  4. Exterior: Clean the exterior with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water or any other liquid.
  5. Heating Element: Use a cleaning brush to remove any food residue from the heating element.
  6. Storage: Ensure all parts are clean and dry before storing the appliance in a cool, dry place.

Important: The frying basket is NOT dishwasher safe.

Troubleshooting
