Operation

RGB Lighting Control

The pre-installed ARGB fans offer customizable lighting effects. You have two primary methods to control the RGB:

  • LED Button: Use the dedicated LED button on the front I/O panel to cycle through various pre-set lighting modes and colors.
  • Motherboard Synchronization (MB Sync): Connect the ARGB fan cables to a compatible 3-pin 5V ARGB header on your motherboard. Utilize your motherboard's RGB software (e.g., ASUS Aura Sync, GIGABYTE RGB Fusion, MSI Mystic Light Sync, ASRock Polychrome Sync) to synchronize lighting effects across all compatible components.

Maintenance

Dust Filter Cleaning

To maintain optimal airflow and prevent dust buildup inside your PC, regularly clean the dust filters. The Ruby case features a removable dust filter on the top panel and potentially other intake areas.

  1. Power off your PC and unplug it from the power source.
  2. Locate and gently remove the dust filters.
  3. Clean the filters using compressed air, a soft brush, or by rinsing them with water (ensure they are completely dry before reinstallation).
  4. Reinstall the dust filters securely.

General Cleaning

For the exterior of the case, use a soft, damp cloth to wipe down surfaces. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish or acrylic panels.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your EMPIRE GAMING Ruby PC Gaming Case, consider the following common troubleshooting steps:

  • Fans Not Spinning/RGB Not Lighting Up: Ensure all fan power cables and ARGB cables are securely connected to the motherboard or the integrated HUB. Verify that your motherboard's ARGB software is correctly configured if using MB Sync.
  • Poor Airflow: Check that all fans are spinning correctly and are oriented to provide proper intake and exhaust. Clean dust filters regularly to prevent airflow restriction.
  • Component Fit Issues: Double-check the maximum dimensions for CPU coolers and GPUs as specified in the 'Specifications' section. Ensure all standoffs are correctly installed for your motherboard size.

For persistent issues, refer to your motherboard manual for specific fan and RGB header configurations or contact EMPIRE GAMING customer support.
