Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to set up your docking station:

  1. Connect to Power (Optional but Recommended): If your laptop requires charging or you are connecting power-intensive devices, connect your laptop's original USB-C power adapter to the USB-C Female PD Charging port (1) on the docking station.
  2. Connect to Laptop: Plug the integrated USB-C cable from the docking station into a Thunderbolt 3 or full-featured USB-C port on your laptop.
  3. Connect External Displays:
    • For HDMI displays, connect HDMI cables from your monitors to HDMI 1 (3) and/or HDMI 2 (4) ports on the docking station.
    • For VGA displays, connect a VGA cable from your monitor to the VGA port (5) on the docking station.
  4. Connect Peripherals:
    • Connect USB devices (e.g., external hard drives, flash drives) to the USB 3.1 (7) or USB-C 3.1 (8) ports for high-speed data transfer.
    • Connect keyboard, mouse, or other low-speed USB devices to the USB 2.0 ports (2).
    • For wired internet, connect an Ethernet cable to the RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet port (9).
    • Insert SD or Micro SD cards into the respective card reader slots (6).
    • Connect headphones or a microphone to the 3.5mm Audio/Mic 2-in-1 port (10).
  5. Driver Installation: In most cases, the docking station is plug-and-play and does not require additional drivers. Your operating system should automatically detect and install necessary drivers.

Operating Instructions

Display Configuration

The docking station supports various display modes depending on your operating system.

Windows OS: Extend and Mirror Modes

For Windows operating systems, you can easily achieve dual or triple monitor displays. This allows you to work on different projects across multiple screens, enhancing productivity.

  • Individual Display Resolution:
    • HDMI 1: Up to 4K@60Hz (with DP1.4 source).
    • HDMI 2: Up to 4K@30Hz (with DP1.4 source).
    • VGA: Up to 1080p@60Hz.
  • Dual Display Resolution:
    • When connecting 2 HDMI displays: 4K@30Hz and 2K@60Hz (with DP1.4 source).
    • When connecting HDMI and VGA: Both outputs will be 1920x1080@60Hz.
  • Triple Display Resolution:
    • When connecting 2 HDMI and 1 VGA: All outputs will be 1920x1080@60Hz.

Note: For Windows laptops on DP1.2, due to limited bandwidth, the resolution of one of the monitors may be lower than 1080P when connecting 2 or 3 monitors. The final resolution depends on your laptop's configuration and connected monitors.

Mac OS: Mirror Mode Only

Mac OS only supports mirror mode (SST - Single Stream Transport). This means all connected external displays will show the same content as your primary Mac screen. Extended mode (MST - Multi-Stream Transport) is not supported by Mac OS through this docking station.

Power Delivery (PD)

The docking station supports up to 100W Power Delivery. Connect your laptop's original USB-C power adapter to the PD port on the docking station to charge your laptop while using other peripherals. The docking station provides up to 87W of safe charging power to your laptop.

Data Transfer

Utilize the high-speed USB 3.1 and USB-C 3.1 ports for rapid data transfer, up to 10 Gbps. The USB 2.0 ports are suitable for connecting devices like keyboards, mice, and other low-bandwidth peripherals.

Ethernet Connection

Connect an Ethernet cable to the RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet port for a stable and high-speed wired internet connection, supporting speeds of 10/100/1000 Mbps.

SD/TF Card Reader

The integrated SD and Micro SD card slots allow for convenient access and transfer of photos and files directly from your memory cards to your laptop at speeds up to 104 Mb/s.

Audio Port

The 3.5mm audio/mic 2-in-1 port supports both audio output to headphones/speakers and audio input from a microphone.

Maintenance

  • Keep the docking station clean and free from dust. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.
  • Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, or humid environments.
  • Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the device yourself. This will void the warranty and may cause damage.

Troubleshooting
