1. Introduction

This compact and efficient capsule coffee maker is designed to deliver barista-style espresso and lungo beverages using NS Original Line compatible capsules. Featuring a 20 Bar high-pressure pump and a 22oz removable water tank, this machine combines convenience with quality. Please read this manual thoroughly before use to ensure safe and optimal operation.

2. Important Safety Instructions

• Read all instructions before using the appliance.
• Do not immerse the appliance, power cord, or plug in water or other liquids.
• Unplug from the outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
• Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.
• Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
• Do not use outdoors.
• Use only NS Original Line compatible capsules.
• Do not open the brewing chamber during operation.

4. Product Overview

Familiarize yourself with the components of your beanglass Espresso Pod Machine:

• A. Water Tank: Removable transparent tank for water storage.
• B. Capsule Insertion Lever: Used to open and close the capsule slot.

5. Setup

1. Unpack: Carefully remove the machine and all accessories from the packaging. Remove any protective films or stickers.
2. Placement: Place the machine on a stable, flat, and heat-resistant surface, away from water sources.
3. Fill Water Tank:
   • Remove the 22oz (0.6L) water tank from the back of the machine.
   • Rinse the tank with fresh water.
   • Fill the tank with fresh, potable water up to the 'MAX' indicator line.
   • Securely place the water tank back onto the machine.

4. Plug In: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.
5. Initial Rinse (Priming):
   • Place a large cup (at least 65ml capacity) under the coffee outlet.
   • Press the power button to turn on the machine. The brew buttons will blink as the machine heats up.
   • Once the lights stop blinking and remain steady, press the Lungo button (large cup icon) to run a cycle without a capsule. This primes the pump and cleans the internal system.
   • Discard the water. Your machine is now ready for use.

6. Operating Instructions

1. Power On: Press the power button. The machine will heat up, indicated by blinking lights. Wait until the lights are steady.
2. Insert Capsule:
   • Lift the capsule insertion lever to open the brewing chamber.
   • Insert an NS Original Line compatible capsule into the slot. Ensure it is placed correctly to avoid crushing.
   • Close the lever firmly until it clicks into place.

3. Place Cup: Place your desired cup on the adjustable cup tray. You can raise or lower the tray to fit different cup sizes.

4. Select Brew Size:
   • Press the Espresso button (small cup icon) for a standard espresso shot (approx. 35ml).
   • Press the Lungo button (large cup icon) for a longer coffee (approx. 65ml).

5. Stop Brewing: The machine will automatically stop once the selected volume is dispensed. To manually stop the flow at any time, press the active brew button again.
6. Eject Capsule: After brewing, lift the capsule insertion lever to eject the used capsule into the internal container.

7. Maintenance

Regular cleaning and maintenance ensure optimal performance and longevity of your machine.

1. Daily Cleaning:
   • Empty Drip Tray and Used Capsule Container: Remove the drip tray and the used capsule container. Empty any liquid and discarded capsules. Rinse both parts with warm water and mild detergent.
   • Wipe Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the machine with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the machine in water.

2. Water Tank Cleaning: Clean the water tank regularly with mild detergent and rinse thoroughly to prevent mineral buildup.
3. Descaling:
   • Descaling is recommended every 3 to 6 months, depending on water hardness and usage.
   • Use a descaling solution specifically designed for coffee machines. Follow the instructions provided with the descaling product.
   • Typically, this involves filling the water tank with descaling solution and water, then running several cycles through the machine without a capsule, followed by rinsing cycles with fresh water.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your machine, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:

• No Coffee Flow:
  • Check if the water tank is filled and correctly positioned.
  • Ensure the capsule is inserted correctly and the lever is fully closed.
  • The machine may need descaling if mineral buildup is blocking the water flow.
• Poor Extraction or Crushed Pods:
  • Ensure capsules are inserted properly and not deformed.
  • Do not force the lever if the capsule is not seating correctly.
