4. Setup and Installation
Proper installation is crucial for the safe and efficient operation of your water heater. If you are unsure about any steps, consult a qualified plumber or electrician.
4.1 Unpacking and Inspection
- Carefully remove the water heater from its packaging.
- Inspect the unit for any signs of damage. If damage is found, do not proceed with installation and contact customer support.
- Verify that all included components are present: Water Heater x 1, User Manual x 1, T & P Relief Valve x 1.
4.2 Location Requirements
- The water heater can be wall-mounted or floor-mounted.
- Ensure the chosen location is protected from freezing temperatures.
- Provide adequate clearance around the unit for maintenance and air circulation.
- The unit should be installed as close as possible to the point of use to minimize heat loss.
4.3 Plumbing Connections
- Install the provided T&P (Temperature and Pressure) Relief Valve into the designated opening on the top of the water heater. Ensure to wrap the threads with PTFE tape (more than 15 times) to prevent leaks. Tighten with a wrench.
- Connect the cold water supply line (blue indicator) to the inlet port of the water heater. Use 1/2" NPT fittings. Wrap threads with PTFE tape (more than 8 times).
- Connect the hot water outlet line (red indicator) to the outlet port of the water heater. Use 1/2" NPT fittings. Wrap threads with PTFE tape (more than 8 times).
- Attach a drain tube to the T&P relief valve, directing any discharge to a suitable drain.
- Important Note: To avoid normal leakage at the inlet and outlet, do not omit the sealing washer at the fitting when connecting the external water hose. External water hose and sealing washer are not included with this product.

6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance helps ensure the longevity and efficient operation of your water heater.
- Anode Rod Inspection: The integrated magnesium anode rod protects the tank from corrosion. It is recommended to check the anode rod periodically (e.g., every 1-2 years, depending on water hardness) and replace it if significantly depleted.
- Draining the Tank: If the unit will be unused for an extended period or if there is a risk of freezing, drain the tank completely.
- Cleaning: Periodically wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
- T&P Valve Test: Test the T&P relief valve at least once a year by lifting the lever. Water should discharge from the drain pipe. If no water discharges, or if the valve does not reseat properly, replace it immediately.
