8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your FEDOUR PTC Aquarium Heater, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Heater Not Turning On/No Display:
    • Check if the power plug is securely inserted into a working electrical outlet.
    • Ensure there is power to the outlet by testing with another appliance.
    • Verify the heater is fully submerged in water.
  • Heater Not Heating Water (Red Light Not On):
    • Confirm the set temperature is higher than the current water temperature. The heater will only activate if the water is colder than the set point.
    • Check for proper submersion and water circulation around the heater.
  • Water Temperature Too High/Low (Inaccurate Reading):
    • Ensure the heater is placed in an area with good water flow, away from direct currents that might affect temperature readings.
    • Verify the external temperature controller is dry and functioning correctly.
    • Consider using an independent aquarium thermometer to cross-reference the temperature reading.
  • Heater Making Noise:
    • A slight hum is normal during operation. If the noise is excessive, ensure the heater is securely mounted and not vibrating against the tank glass.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, please contact customer support.
