Once batteries are installed, the sensor will be active, and the lid will be ready for operation.

Operating Instructions

1. Automatic Sensor Operation

The Homra Nexo bin features an infrared motion sensor for hands-free operation. Simply wave your hand or approach the sensor area (located on the front of the lid) within 15-20 cm. The lid will automatically open.

The lid will remain open for approximately 5 seconds and then close automatically and silently thanks to the soft-close mechanism. If the sensor detects continuous presence, the lid will remain open until the object is removed.

2. Manual Open/Close Buttons

For extended opening or manual control, the lid also features "OPEN" and "CLOSE" buttons. Press "OPEN" to keep the lid open indefinitely. Press "CLOSE" to close the lid. The sensor will reactivate once the lid is closed manually.

3. Waste Separation System

The Homra Nexo is designed for efficient waste separation with its multi-compartment system. The top compartment typically holds a smaller 8L bucket, ideal for organic waste or general refuse. The lower drawer contains two 12L buckets and one 48L bucket, allowing for separation of recyclables like plastics, paper, and other household waste.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning the Bin

The Homra Nexo is made of fingerprint-resistant brushed stainless steel. To clean the exterior, wipe with a soft, damp cloth and mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as these can damage the finish. Dry thoroughly with a clean, soft cloth.

The inner buckets can be removed and washed with soap and water. Ensure they are completely dry before placing them back into the main unit.

2. Battery Replacement

When the sensor lid's operation becomes slow or inconsistent, it's time to replace the batteries. Follow the battery installation steps outlined in the "Setup" section. Dispose of old batteries responsibly according to local regulations.
