4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning

To maintain the appearance of your watch, regularly wipe the case and bracelet with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as these can damage the finish.

4.2 Water Resistance

This watch is water-resistant up to 50 meters (165 feet), or 5 ATM. This rating means the watch is suitable for brief recreational swimming or showering. It is not suitable for diving, snorkeling, or high-impact water sports. Ensure the crown is fully pushed in before any contact with water.

4.3 Battery Replacement

The watch is powered by a product-specific battery. When the watch stops running, it indicates the battery needs replacement. It is recommended to have the battery replaced by an authorized Fossil service center or a professional watchmaker to ensure proper sealing and maintain water resistance.

5. Troubleshooting

  • Watch not running: Check if the crown is fully pushed into position 0. If it is, the battery may need replacement.
  • Time is incorrect: Refer to Section 2.1 to reset the time. Ensure the crown is fully pushed in after setting.
  • Date is incorrect or not changing: Refer to Section 2.2 to reset the date. Ensure the time is set correctly, as the date changes automatically around midnight.
  • Bracelet feels loose or tight: The bracelet may require adjustment by adding or removing links. Consult a professional jeweler or authorized service center.
