1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your TroposAir Solara 60-inch WiFi Enabled Indoor-Outdoor Ceiling Fan. Please read this manual thoroughly before installation and use to ensure safe and efficient operation.

The Solara ceiling fan features integrated solid blades and a Direct Current (DC) motor for powerful airflow and superb energy efficiency. It is designed for both indoor and outdoor (damp rated) use and includes a 15W LED light kit (#630).

2. Safety Information

WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or personal injury, always follow these basic precautions:

• Read all instructions before installing the fan.
• Ensure the installation site is suitable for a ceiling fan and can support the fan's weight (approximately 20 pounds).
• All wiring must be in accordance with national and local electrical codes.
• Turn off power at the circuit breaker before installation or servicing.
• Do not operate the fan with a damaged power cord or plug.
• Keep hands, hair, and clothing away from moving fan blades.
• This fan is damp-rated for indoor and outdoor use, but avoid direct water exposure.

4. Setup and Installation

Professional installation is recommended. Ensure power is OFF at the circuit breaker before proceeding.

4.1 Mounting the Fan

1. Secure the mounting bracket to the ceiling outlet box. The outlet box must be securely fastened to the building structure and capable of supporting the fan's weight.
2. Assemble the downrod to the fan motor assembly, ensuring all screws are tightened.
3. Carefully lift the fan assembly and hang it on the mounting bracket.

4.2 Electrical Connections

1. Connect the fan's electrical wires to the household wiring according to the wiring diagram provided in the separate installation guide (not included in this manual). Ensure all connections are secure using wire nuts.
2. Connect the ground wire.
3. Tuck all wires neatly into the outlet box.

4.3 Attaching the Canopy and Light Kit

1. Slide the canopy up to the ceiling and secure it to the mounting bracket with the provided screws.
2. Connect the light kit wires to the fan motor assembly wires.
3. Attach the light kit to the bottom of the fan motor assembly, twisting or screwing it into place until secure.

5. Operating Instructions

Your Solara ceiling fan can be operated via the included remote control or through the Smart Life app via WiFi.

5.1 Remote Control Operation

The remote control operates the fan's 5 speeds and the light's on/off function. Ensure the battery is correctly installed.

• Fan Speed Buttons: Press to cycle through 5 fan speeds (typically 1-5, or increasing/decreasing speed).
• Light On/Off Button: Press to turn the integrated LED light on or off.

5.2 WiFi Connectivity (Smart Life App)

The fan is WiFi enabled and integrates with the FREE Smart Life App, Google Play, and Alexa for smart home control.

1. Download the "Smart Life" app from your device's app store.
2. Register or log in to your Smart Life account.
3. Ensure your fan is powered on.
4. In the Smart Life app, follow the on-screen instructions to add a new device. Select "Ceiling Fan" or "Lighting" category.
5. Follow the app's pairing instructions, which may involve a specific sequence of turning the fan on/off or pressing a button on the remote.
6. Once paired, you can control fan speed, light, and set schedules through the app.

For voice control, link your Smart Life account to your Google Home or Amazon Alexa app and discover devices.
