This manual provides detailed instructions for the assembly, operation, and maintenance of your EACHSHOT Godox Strip Softbox (35x160cm) with Bowens Mount. Setup Instructions

1. Prepare the Speedring: Place the Bowens mount speedring on a stable surface. Identify the holes for the support rods.
2. Attach Softbox Fabric to Speedring: Carefully unfold the softbox fabric. Align the opening of the softbox with the speedring. The fabric typically has sleeves or pockets around the edges where the support rods will be inserted.
3. Insert Support Rods: Insert one end of each support rod into the designated holes on the speedring. Then, gently bend each rod and insert the other end into the corresponding pocket on the softbox fabric. Work diagonally to distribute tension evenly. This will give the softbox its rectangular shape.

   

4. Install Inner Diffuser: Attach the inner diffuser to the internal loops or fasteners inside the softbox. This helps to further soften and spread the light.
5. Install Outer Diffuser: Secure the outer diffuser to the front edge of the softbox using the hook-and-loop fasteners. This provides the primary diffusion layer.
6. Attach Honeycomb Grid (Optional): If desired, attach the honeycomb grid to the outer edge of the softbox, over the outer diffuser, using its hook-and-loop fasteners. The grid helps to control light spill and direct the light more precisely.

   

7. Mount to Strobe: Attach the assembled softbox (via its Bowens mount speedring) to your compatible studio strobe or flash head. Ensure it is securely locked in place.

   

Operating Instructions

Once assembled and mounted, the strip softbox is ready for use. It is primarily used to shape and soften light from a studio strobe or flash. Experiment with its position relative to your subject to achieve desired lighting effects.

• Soft Light: The dual diffusers create a broad, soft light source, reducing harsh shadows and producing flattering illumination.
• Directional Control with Grid: The honeycomb grid narrows the beam spread, preventing light spill and allowing for more precise control over where the light falls. This is particularly useful for creating dramatic rim lighting or isolating subjects.

Maintenance

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe down the exterior of the softbox. For diffusers, a slightly damp cloth with mild soap can be used, but ensure they are completely dry before storage. Do not use harsh chemicals.
• Storage: Disassemble the softbox by reversing the setup steps. Store all components in the provided carrying bag in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. This prevents material degradation and extends product life.

  

• Handling: Avoid excessive force when assembling or disassembling to prevent damage to the rods or fabric.

Troubleshooting

• Difficulty Assembling Rods: Ensure you are inserting the rods into the correct holes on the speedring and pockets on the fabric. Apply gentle, even pressure. If the rods are stiff, try bending them slightly to reduce tension during insertion.
• Uneven Light Output: Check that both inner and outer diffusers are correctly installed and smooth. Ensure the light source is centered within the softbox.
• Softbox Not Holding Shape: Verify that all support rods are fully seated in both the speedring and the fabric pockets. Inspect rods for any bends or damage.
