Setup (Assembly Instructions)

Assembly of your MELOKEA office chair is straightforward. All necessary tools and detailed instructions are included. Please follow these steps carefully:

1. Unpack and Verify Parts: Carefully unpack all components and compare them with the parts list provided in your packaging to ensure nothing is missing or damaged.
2. Assemble the Base:
   • Insert the five caster wheels into the holes at the end of each leg of the chair base. Push firmly until they click into place.
   • Place the gas lift cylinder into the central hole of the assembled base.
3. Attach the Mechanism to the Seat:
   • Identify the seat cushion and the adjusting mechanism. Ensure the "FRONT" arrow on the mechanism points towards the front of the seat.
   • Align the mechanism with the pre-drilled holes on the underside of the seat cushion and secure it using the provided screws. Use a cross-screw technique (tighten diagonally opposite screws first) to ensure even pressure.
4. Install Armrests:
   • Attach the armrests to the sides of the seat. Do not fully tighten the screws at this stage to allow for slight adjustments when attaching the backrest.
5. Attach the Backrest:
   • Align the backrest with the armrests and the seat. Ensure the lumbar support is correctly oriented.
   • Secure the backrest to the armrests and seat using the remaining screws. Once all screws are in place, tighten all screws on the seat and backrest completely.
6. Connect Seat to Base:
   • Carefully place the assembled seat (with armrests and backrest) onto the gas lift cylinder on the base. Press down firmly on the seat to ensure it is securely seated on the gas lift.

Operating Instructions

Your MELOKEA Ergonomic Office Chair offers several adjustments to customize your seating experience:

• Seat Height Adjustment:

  To raise the seat, lift the lever located under the right side of the seat while standing. To lower the seat, sit on the chair and lift the same lever. Adjust to a height where your feet are flat on the floor and your knees are at a 90-degree angle.

• Tilt Function and Tension Control:

  Pull the lever (often the same one for height adjustment, or a separate one) outwards to unlock the tilt function, allowing the chair to rock. Push the lever inwards to lock the chair in an upright position. The tilt tension can be adjusted by rotating the round knob located under the front of the seat. Turn clockwise to increase tension (harder to recline) and counter-clockwise to decrease tension (easier to recline).

• Adjustable Headrest:

  The headrest can be adjusted up or down by 6cm to provide optimal neck support. Simply grasp the headrest and slide it to your desired height.

• Flip-up Armrests:

  The armrests can be flipped up 90 degrees. This feature allows you to push the chair closer to your desk, saving space when not in use, or to easily move in and out of the chair.
