Setup

1. Charging the Doorbell

Before installation, fully charge the doorbell camera using the provided USB charging cable. A full charge typically lasts 2-3 months depending on usage.

2. App Installation and Account Creation

Download the ZUMIMALL app from your smartphone's app store (available on App Store for iOS and Google Play for Android). Follow the in-app instructions to create an account and add your new doorbell camera.

3. Wi-Fi Connection

The TIEJUS J9 doorbell camera supports 2.4G Wi-Fi networks only. Ensure your smartphone is connected to a 2.4G Wi-Fi network during the setup process. 5G Wi-Fi is not supported.

4. Chime Pairing

To pair the wireless indoor chime with your doorbell camera, turn on both devices simultaneously. They will automatically blink and find each other, similar to pairing a Bluetooth speaker. Once paired, the chime will sound when the doorbell button is pressed.

5. Installation Methods

The doorbell camera offers two installation methods:

  • Adhesive Tape Installation: For a quick and easy setup, use the provided double-sided adhesive tape to mount the doorbell to a clean, flat surface.
  • Screw Installation: For a more secure and permanent installation, use the included screw pack to mount the doorbell to your wall or doorframe.

Operating Instructions

1. PIR Motion Detection & Instant Notifications

The doorbell camera features PIR (Passive Infrared) motion detection. You will receive instant notifications on your smartphone when motion is detected or when someone presses the doorbell button. The AI recognition function can accurately distinguish between people, pets, packages, and vehicles, reducing false alerts.

2. Two-Way Audio & Voice Changer

Communicate with visitors directly through the doorbell's built-in microphone and speaker. You can also select from pre-recorded voice messages for quick replies. The unique voice changer feature allows you to alter your voice (Original, Clown, Man) to protect your privacy and identity.

3. Night Vision

4. Flexible Storage Options

The TIEJUS J9 supports both cloud storage and local SD card storage (up to 128GB, not included). It offers a lifetime 7-day cloud loop recording for 6-second clips without subscription. For extended recording and features, paid upgrade options are available.

Maintenance

Battery Life and Charging

The doorbell camera is designed for long battery life, typically lasting 2-3 months on a single charge. When the battery is low, you will receive a notification via the app. Recharge the device using the provided USB cable.

Troubleshooting

Doorbell not connecting to Wi-FiEnsure you are connected to a 2.4G Wi-Fi network. 5G Wi-Fi is not supported. Check Wi-Fi signal strength at the installation location. Restart your router and the doorbell.

Poor video quality at nightEnsure the camera lens is clean. Check for any obstructions blocking the infrared sensors. Ensure there are no strong light sources directly facing the camera at night, which can overexpose the image.
Battery drains quicklyFrequent motion detection events, live view access, or two-way audio usage can reduce battery life. Adjust motion detection sensitivity and frequency settings. Ensure the doorbell is fully charged after each recharge.
