5. Setup Instructions

The CUT-55NHF is designed for quick and easy setup.

  1. Power Connection: Connect the power input cable (9) to a suitable 115V or 230V power outlet. The machine automatically detects the voltage.
  2. Air Compressor Connection: Connect your air compressor to the MNPT 1/4 inch industrial D-type coupler (11) on the rear panel. The built-in air filter (12) and pressure regulator (2) simplify this process, requiring no additional installation. Ensure a secure, leak-free connection.
  3. Plasma Torch Connection: Connect the NS65 plasma cutter gun to the Plasma Torch Connection (7) on the front panel.
  4. Earth Clamp Connection: Connect the Earth Clamp (500A) to the Output Connection (8) on the front panel. Securely attach the earth clamp to the workpiece or cutting table to ensure a good electrical connection.
  5. CNC Connection (Optional): If using with a CNC cutting table, connect the ARC Voltage Output (14) and Signal Control (15) ports on the rear panel to your CNC system. Refer to your CNC system's manual for specific wiring details.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Basic Operation

  1. Turn On: Flip the ON/OFF Power Switch (10) to the 'ON' position. The digital display will illuminate.
  2. Set Air Pressure: Adjust the Air Regulator (2) to the recommended pressure for your cutting application. Monitor the Air pressure gauge (4).
  3. Select Mode (2T/4T): Use the 2T/4T Mode Selector (5) to choose between 2-Touch (manual trigger hold) or 4-Touch (trigger press to start, press again to stop) operation. The 'TEST' function can be used to check air flow without arc ignition.
  4. Adjust Amperage: Use the Amperage Control Knob (3) to set the desired cutting current (20A-55A) based on the material type and thickness.
  5. Initiate Cut: Position the plasma torch over the workpiece. Press the torch trigger to initiate the pilot arc and begin cutting. The Non-HF Pilot Arc allows for non-touch starting, extending consumable life.

The CUT-55NHF offers excellent cutting performance across various metal types, including stainless steel, alloy steel, mild steel, copper, and aluminum.
