Setup and Assembly

Assembly is required for this treadmill. Please follow these steps carefully. It is recommended to have two people for assembly.

  1. Unpack Components: Remove all parts from the packaging and lay them out on a clear, flat surface. Verify all components listed in the "Package Contents" section are present.
  2. Attach Side Poles: Secure the side poles to the main frame using the provided hardware. Ensure they are firmly attached.
  3. Install Support Rod: Connect the support rod between the two side poles for added stability.
  4. Mount Console: Carefully attach the console and display unit to the top of the side poles. Connect all necessary cables as indicated in the detailed assembly diagram (refer to the separate assembly sheet if provided).
  5. Attach Side Pole Covers: Place the side pole covers over the base of the side poles for a finished look.
  6. Power Connection: Once fully assembled, connect the power cord to the treadmill and then to a grounded electrical outlet.
  7. Safety Key Placement: Ensure the safety key is in place on the console before attempting to power on the treadmill.

Operating Instructions

The LCD console provides real-time feedback on your workout. Key display metrics include Speed, Pulse, Calories burned, Time elapsed, and Distance covered. Quick speed buttons allow for rapid adjustment of running speed.

Basic Operation

  1. Power On: Ensure the safety key is correctly placed on the console. Press the 'START' button to begin your workout.
  2. Adjust Speed: Use the '+' and '-' buttons to adjust the running speed. The treadmill offers a speed range of 1 to 18 Kmph. Alternatively, use the quick speed buttons for preset speeds.
  3. Adjust Incline: This model features 3 levels of manual incline adjustment. To change the incline, you must stop the treadmill, dismount, and manually adjust the incline pins located at the rear of the treadmill.
  4. Stop: Press the 'STOP' button to gradually slow down and stop the treadmill. Removing the safety key will immediately stop the treadmill for emergency situations.

Program Modes

The Aerofit AF 551 Treadmill includes a variety of workout programs to suit different fitness goals:

  • 9 Programs Total: This includes a comprehensive selection of routines.
  • 8 Pre-set Programs: Designed for various fitness levels and goals. Select these using the 'PROG' button on the console.
  • 3 User Programs: Allows you to create and save your customized workout routines.
  • 1 Body Fat Program: Helps estimate body fat percentage based on user input.
  • 1 Manual Program: Provides full control over speed and time settings during your workout.

Maintenance

  • Belt Adjustment: Periodically check the running belt for proper tension and alignment. Adjust if necessary according to the instructions in the assembly guide.
  • Power Cord Inspection: Regularly inspect the power cord for any damage. If damaged, discontinue use and contact customer support.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your treadmill, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Treadmill does not power on:
    • Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a grounded outlet and the treadmill.
    • Check if the safety key is correctly placed on the console.
    • Verify the circuit breaker has not tripped.
  • Running belt slips or hesitates:
    • The running belt may require lubrication. Apply silicon oil as per maintenance instructions.
    • The running belt tension may be too loose. Adjust the belt tension according to the assembly guide.
  • Unusual noises during operation:
    • Check for loose parts and tighten them.
