Model: FLY12 SPORT

1. Introduction

The Cycliq Fly12 Sport is an advanced cycling accessory combining a high-definition bike camera with a powerful front light. Engineered for cyclists, it provides sharp video recording, robust illumination, and extended battery life, ensuring both safety and the ability to capture your rides.

This manual provides detailed instructions for the setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your Fly12 Sport device. Please read it thoroughly before first use to ensure optimal performance and longevity of your product.

2. Product Features

3. Package Contents

Please verify that all components are present in your package. While specific contents may vary by region or bundle, a typical package includes:

Note: A microSD card is required for recording and is not included with the product. Please ensure you have a compatible microSD card (Class 10 or higher, up to 128GB recommended) before first use.

4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Device

Before initial use, fully charge your Fly12 Sport. Connect the provided USB cable to the device's charging port and to a USB power source (e.g., computer USB port, wall adapter). The charging indicator light will show the charging status. A full charge takes approximately 2.5 hours.

4.2 Inserting a MicroSD Card

Locate the microSD card slot on the device. Gently insert a compatible microSD card (not included) with the gold contacts facing down until it clicks into place. To remove, push the card in slightly until it springs out.

4.3 Mounting the Fly12 Sport

Attach the provided mount to your bicycle handlebars. The Fly12 Sport can be mounted either above or below the handlebars. Align the device with the mount and twist it a 1/8th turn until it securely locks into place. Ensure the device is firmly attached before riding.

4.4 Initial Power On and Pairing

Press and hold the power button to turn on the device. For advanced settings and features, download the CycliqPlus mobile app from your device's app store. Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone and follow the app's instructions to pair with your Fly12 Sport. This allows for configuration, footage review, and firmware updates.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Video Recording

Once powered on and a microSD card is inserted, the Fly12 Sport typically begins recording automatically in a continuous loop. Footage is saved in MP4 format. The 6-axis image stabilization helps maintain smooth video even on rough terrain. In case of an incident, the device's incident detection feature will automatically lock the relevant video segment to prevent it from being overwritten.

5.2 Light Operation

The 600-lumen front light can be controlled independently or in conjunction with the camera. Cycle through the 3 light modes (e.g., steady, flash, pulse) and 3 dimming options using the dedicated light button or via the CycliqPlus app. A camera-only mode is available if light is not required.

5.3 Bike Alarm Function

Activate the bike alarm feature via the CycliqPlus app. If your bike is moved while the alarm is active, the Fly12 Sport will send an alert to your paired smartphone, flash its light, and begin recording video to capture any activity.

5.4 Home Safe Mode

This feature is designed to ensure you have light to get home safely. When the battery charge drops to a critical level, the Fly12 Sport will automatically turn off the camera function, preserving the remaining power for the front light to operate for an additional 30 minutes.

5.5 Connectivity and Data Transfer

Connect the Fly12 Sport to your smartphone via Bluetooth using the CycliqPlus app for live view, settings adjustments, and quick footage transfer. For larger file transfers and advanced editing, connect the device to a Mac or PC using the USB cable and utilize the free CycliqPlus Desktop software.

The device also supports ANT+ connectivity, allowing compatible Garmin bike computers to remotely control the camera and light functions.

6.2 Battery Care

To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the device frequently. Store the device in a cool, dry place when not in use, and charge it periodically if stored for extended periods.
